What is Dihydrogen monoxide?
Dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) is the scientific name for water, though it is almost never used. But the name is technically correct for water. It is a colourless, odourless, tasteless chemical compound and the major component of acid rain which is also known as hydroxyl acid. It also contributed to the greenhouse effect. It accelerates corrosion of many metals. Water is covalent compound, but dihydrogen monoxide is ionic so both are not the same.

Uses of Dihydrogen monoxide – OH2
- Used in nuclear power plants and also used as a coolant and industrial solvent.
- Used in the production of polystyrene and other packaging materials.
- Used as an additive in particular junk foods and other food products.Used in the distribution of pesticides even after washing it produce contaminated by dihydrogen monoxide.
Dihydrogen monoxide should be banned because prolonged exposure to its solid form results in severe tissue damage. Ingestion includes excessive sweating and urination and possibly a bloated feeling, vomiting, nausea, and electrolyte imbalance in the body.
