Candidates qualifying in tier 2 will be eligible to appear in tier 3. Unlike the first two stages, the tier 3 will be conducted in offline mode. The SSC CGL Tier 3 exam is descriptive in nature and as per the syllabus of SSC CGL 2022 for tier 3 aspirants will have to write essay, precis, letter, application writing, etc. The descriptive paper of tier 3 exam is to be given in one language English or Hindi.

The SSC CGL tier 4 exam is qualifying in nature. Applicants are only required to qualify in this stage. The tier 4 consists of a skill test which is of two types:
