UGC NET Cut Off 2024
The UGC NET cut off 2024 will be released separately for candidates who qualify for Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). How to Calculate Cut Off Marks for UGC NET 2024?
To calculate the UGC NET 2024 cut off, the National Testing Agency follows the following steps. The detailed procedure for the calculation of cut off marks of UGC NET 2024 is shared below:
Step 1: Total number of qualified candidates in the exam shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers of the exam.
Step 2: Total number of slots allocated to candidates belonging to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of India.
Step 3: Minimum marks required by candidates to score to be considered for Junior Research Fellow and/or eligibility for Assistant Professor are mentioned in the table given below:

Step 4: Qualifying factors for candidates who qualify in UGC NET will be based on their category for each subject. The aggregate percentage secured by candidates in both papers corresponding to the number of slots will determine the qualifying cut-off.
Step 5: Total number of slots available for awarding Junior Research Fellows is allocated among different categories as per reservation policy.
UGC NET Cut off 2024 - Category-Wise Subject Cut off
Those candidates will qualify in the exam who score the minimum UGC NET 2024 cut off. These cut off marks must be apart from scoring the minimum qualifying marks of the UGC NET June 2024 exam. The National Testing Agency releases the category wise UGC NET cut off 2024 in PDF format for each subject for which the candidates have appeared.
UGC NET Cut off 2024 for Assistant Professor
According to the UGC NET 2024 cut off, the National Testing Agency (NTA) shortlists 6% of candidates in each subject to prepare a merit list for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship.
NTA UGC NET 2024 Cut off for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) prepares a separate merit list for candidates who have qualified for the UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). This will be calculated after considering their eligibility in terms of age.

NTA UGC NET Result 2024
The National Testing Agency will soon declare the UGC NET result 2024 online on the official website. To check the result, candidates have to use their UGC NET login credentials like the application number and date of birth. Only those candidates who score the minimum UGC NET cut off will be qualified. Candidates who pass the NTA UGC NET exam will be issued an eligibility certificate which candidates can use to apply as Assistant Professors in any College/University across the country and also avail Junior Research Fellowship.
