UPSC had closed the application withdrawal window for CMS 2021 on August 09, 2021. UPSC activated the UPSC CMS 2021 application withdrawal link on August 3. UPSC earlier released the Combined Medical Services (CMS) 2021 notification in online mode on July 7, 2021. Along with the UPSC notification, the application form of UPSC CMS 2021 was available from July 7 to 27, 2021. Candidates who have qualified the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. examination or appearing for the final year are eligible to apply for UPSC CMS 2021 exam. UPSC will release the Combined Medical Services Examination Result 2021 a few weeks after the conclusion of the exam on the official website - upsc.gov.in. Candidates shortlisted in the CBE will be eligible to appear for personality tests. UPSC CMS result 2021 will be available in PDF format. After the personality test is conducted, UPSC will declare the list of candidates finally qualified in both the stages of the exam. The final result of UPSC CMS will be prepared by adding the marks of the CBE and personality test.
The admit card of UPSC CMS 2021 had been released, in online mode on the official website upsc.gov.in on October . Candidates who 28, 2021. The admit card is released for each stage of the exam - Preliminary and Personality test separately. UPSC conducts the CMS exam across various exam centres in India. While filling the application form, candidates will have to select the exam centres. UPSC will allot the exam centres on a first-apply-first-allot basis. It is advised to all candidates to fill the application form as early as possible to get their desired exam centre. UPSC prescribes the syllabus as well as the exam pattern of UPSC CMS. Candidates eligible to apply for the UPSC CMS exam are advised to understand the exam pattern to know the sections, topics, marking scheme, types of questions and subjects on which the question papers will be based. UPSC CMS 2021 consists of 2 stages – written exam (CBE )and personality test. As per the UPSC CMS exam pattern, the CBE will be conducted for 500 marks while the personality test will consist of 100 marks. UPSC CMS 2021 written exam will have 2 papers - paper 1 (General Medicine and Paediatrics) and paper 2 (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics and Preventive & Social Medicine). Each paper will have a time duration of 2 hours. Both the papers of written exam will be conducted for 250 marks each.

Educational Qualification - Candidates must have completed or appearing final year of MBBS examination
Nationality - Indian, or Bhutan, or Nepal, or Indian origin migrants who have settled permanently in India from East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zaire, Burma, or Tibetan refugee who settled in India permanently before January 1, 1962, with the certificate issued by Government of India
Age - Candidates must be not more than 32 years (as on August 1, 2021). UPSC provides upper age relaxation for candidates belonging to a certain category. In the following table, candidates can check the upper age relaxation limit.

UPSC CMS application withdrawal window is activated on August 3. Earlier UPSC had released the CMS application form on July 7, 2021. The last date to submit the application form was July 27, 2021. The UPSC CMS application form was available in two parts. In Part 1, candidates need to register themselves by entering their details like candidates’ name, father’s name, category etc while in part 2 of the application filling process mode of online payment, selection of UPSC CMS exam centre and final submission of the application form was available.

The selection process of UPSC CMS comprises two stages - Computer-based test and personal interview. UPSC CMS CBT comprises two papers of 250 marks each. Candidates who clear the CMS computer-based test will be called for a personal interview. The final result will be released on the basis of combined performance in CBT and personal interview
UPSC will release the answer key of UPSC CMS 2021 on its website after the final result is declared. The answer key will be released for CBE written exam. With the help of the answer key candidates can check the correct/incorrect responses made by them in the exam and calculate their probable score.
UPSC prescribes the cut off marks of CMS. To qualify each stage of the UPSC CMS exam, candidates must score the cut off marks also known as the minimum marks set by the commission. The cut off marks for the written exam will be calculated out of 500 marks. Candidates who score the cut off marks in CBE will be eligible to appear for the personality test. Candidates selected in the personality test will be eligible for final recruitment.
