As per the UPSC ESE syllabus, the prelims stage will have two papers - Paper I consist of general studESE & engineering aptitude and Paper II based on the relevant subject opted by the applicants i.e. Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
