UPSC IAS Exam Centres 2021 - UPSC IAS has activated the change of examination centre for Civil Services (Preliminary) and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) examination on July 12, 2021. The notification stating that it had added four additional centres at (i) Almora, Uttarakhand, (ii) Srinagar, Uttarakhand, (iii) Nasik, Maharashtra and (iv) Surat, Gujarat for the CSE (Pre) Exam 2021 was released earlier. UPSC has also planned to give an opportunity to candidates of CSE and IFoS to submit their revised choice of exam centre. The requests of candidates to change the exam centres will be considered against the capacity intimated by the exam centres for accommodating the candidates. Candidates requests for change in the exam centre will be considered on "firstapply-first allot" basis. The exam centre change window will be operational in two phases July 12 to 19 (06.00 PM) and July 26 to 30 2021 (06.00 PM) on upsconline.nic.in.Latest: Click here for the UPSC IAS exam centre window.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) was to conducted the UPSC IAS 2021 prelims exam on June 27, 2021, but has postponed it due to COVID-19. The prelims will now be held on October 10, 2021. The UPSC civil service main exam will be held on January 7, 8, 9, 15 & 16, 2022. This year the UPSC Civil Services prelims exam will be conducted in 73 cities (Leh added as an exam centre for prelims) across India whereas the mains UPSC IAS exam is conducted in 24 cities across the country, it is also mentioned in the UPSC notification 2021.
The UPSC IAS exam centres choices are asked by the candidates during the IAS application form 2021 filling process. But the final decision for UPSC CSE exam centre allotment lies with the Commission and on the availability of the choice of city. Candidates will get to know about their UPSC IAS 2021 exam venue after the issuance of the UPSC IAS admit card 2021. Once the Civil Services application form is successfully submitted no request for change of the UPSC IAS exam centre is entertained by UPSC. The list of UPSC IAS exam centres for UPSC CSE prelims and mains IAS exam is different. There are a total of 73 IAS exam centres for the CSE prelims exam whereas only 24 for the mains examination.
