Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of Assam JLEE 2020 before applying for the exam. It should be noted that it is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Any ineligibility found will result in the rejection of the application.
Assam JLEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should be a permanent residence of Assam.
Candidates should have cleared a minimum of 3 years’ Diploma from any Polytechnic Institution of Assam under State Council of Technical Education (SCTE).
Candidates should have scored at least 45% marks in the Polytechnic course. In case a candidate belongs to SC/ST category then the minimum eligibility aggregate percentage will be 40%.
Candidates who are appearing in their final examination will also be eligible to apply for Assam JLEE 2020 but they should have original marksheet along with the passing certificate on the day of admission.
The examination authorities have release the application form of Assam JLEE 2020 on June 25. All the eligible candidates seeking lateral admissions to BE/B.Tech courses should fill the application form in a format prescribed. Candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria failing which will result in the disqualification of candidature.
Filling out the application form - Candidates will have to begin by filling out the details asked in the form such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, etc.
Uploading documents - After filling out the necessary documents, candidates will have to next upload a photograph and scanned signature in a format prescribed below.

Payment of application fee - Once all the details are entered correctly and the documents are uploaded in a prescribed format, candidates will have to proceed towards the payment. The application fee of Rs. 1000 will have to be paid through online mode (debit cards/credit cards/ net banking) or offline mode (state bank collect). Candidates who will pay through offline mode will have to generate a cash deposit by selecting the state bank of India option and will have to make a payment at any state bank of India branch.
Printout of the confirmation page - Finally, after completing all the above-mentioned steps, candidates should take a print of the confirmation page for future references.
At the time of filling the online application form, candidates will get a chance to select and submit the choice of preference for the exam centre. Assam JLEE 2020 will be conducted in two examination centres - Guwahati and Jorhat. However, the number of examination centres may change according to the number of applicants. Candidates should ensure that they reach the allotted examination centre on the scheduled date and time.

The authorities will release the admit card of Assam JLEE 2020 on September 4 for all the eligible candidates. Candidates will be able to access the admit card by visiting the official website. The admit card will include all the necessary details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, examination date and time, and examination centre. Assam JLEE 2020 admit card is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

The admission process will be done on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the Assam JLEE 2020. The authorities will release the cutoff of Assam JLEE 2020 which will be the minimum marks required by the candidates to get admission. The cutoff of each branch or institute will be different. Candidates who will meet the prescribed cut off will be eligible to participate in the Assam JLEE 2020 counselling.
The process of counselling and seat allotment of Assam JLEE 2020 will have two rounds which will be conducted in offline mode and candidates will have to reach the counselling venue on the scheduled date and time. Assam JLEE counselling 2020 will begin tentatively in the last week of July. After each round of counselling, merit list will be released on the basis of different factors and the seats in the institutes will be allotted to candidates. The process of counselling and seat allotment is explained below.
Online registration - All the eligible candidates will have to register to participate in the counselling process and will also have to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 600.
Choice filling - Candidates will also have to select the preferred course and branch. Candidates should carefully do this step as the merit list will largely be dependent on the choices filled.
Certificate verification - Candidates will have to carry all the relevant documents to the allotted centre to get them verified. Candidates should reach the venue for verification on the scheduled date and time.
Seat allotment - Finally, authorities will allot the seat to the candidates on the basis of choices filled by them. After the seats are allotted, candidates will have to pay their admission fee at the allotted institute.
