CSAB NUET 2021 - Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will begin the CSAB NUET 2021 online registration tentatively in October. The exam authorities will conduct CSAB NUET 2021 for providing admissions to candidates of certain territories into the engineering institutes. There are eight North-Eastern states are involved in CSAB NUET 2021 includes Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim & Tripura. Also, four Union territories include Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep. Only the eligible candidates will be considered for admissions through CSAB NUET 2021. Seat allotment will be done based on the JEE Main 2021 ranks.

CSAB NUET Eligibility Criteria 2021

The exam authorities will release some conditions which will have to be met by the candidates to be eligible for the admissions process. If they are not able to satisfy these eligibility criteria of CSAB NUET 2021, then they will be disqualified from the admission process.

Domicile - All of the candidates should meet the domicile requirements of any of the eight Northeastern states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura) or four Union Territories (Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep).

Educational Qualification - Should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination. While preparing the aggregate marks, the marks obtained in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics will be considered.

Marks Needed- Candidates should have obtained at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam or be in the top 20 percentile in the exam conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST category candidates, the minimum aggregate mark is 40% and for B.Arch/B.Plan, the aggregate mark is 50%.

Last year, the authorities have released relaxation in admission criteria for admission to JEE Main this year due to the covid-19 pandemic. As per the criteria, candidates having qualified JEE Main and passed 12th class, irrespective of any percentage will be considered for admission. All candidates should have attempted and obtained a valid rank in JEE Main 2021.

CSAB NUET Seat Allotment 2021

Seat allotments will be done on the basis of JEE Main 2021 scores. A detailed procedure has to be followed by the candidates to complete the CSAB NUET 2021 seat allotment. The exam authorities will conduct two rounds of allotment and if vacant seats remain, then a spot round will be conducted.

Registration: Candidates will have to register for CSAB NUET 2021 by using their JEE Main 2021 application number and password. They have to note that the correct details are provided since it will be correlated to the details submitted during JEE Main.

Filling and Locking of Choices:

  • After successful registration, they will have to choose their choice of colleges and courses in the order of preference.

  • The selection has to be done as per preference since it will be considered during seat allotment.

  • The candidates are advised to choose as many choices as possible to increase their higher chance of seat allotment.

  • Editing and rearrangement of choices will be done before locking it.

  • Changes will not be done once the choices are locked.

  • A printout of the locked choices has to be taken out for future use.

  • If they are unable to lock their choices before the last date, then the last saved options will get automatically locked.

Seat Allotment: Candidates will be notified about the CSAB NEUT 2021 seat allotment result in online mode only. There will no individual allotment letters be sent to the candidates. The seat allotments will be done on the basis of JEE Main ranks, availability of seats and preferences. The CSAB NEUT 2021 allotment letter will be downloaded by the candidates through the candidate’s login.

Reporting to Centres: The candidates who are allotted seats will have to report to their respective centres for the document checking process. Information regarding the reporting will be mentioned in the counselling letter. Also, they have to produce a demand draft of Rs.3000 along with the necessary documents. While reporting at the centres, the candidates will be provided with the following three options:

  • Freezing: If the candidates are satisfied with their seats allotted, they can select this option. If this option is chosen, then they will not be able to participate in any further rounds of counselling.

  • Sliding: Candidates can choose this option if they are satisfied with their seats allotted but are still ready for allotment in a higher preferred course in the same institute during the next rounds of counselling.

  • Floating: If the candidates want to be considered for seat allotment into other colleges or institutes during the next rounds of counselling, then this option has to be chosen.

Note: Candidates who choose the option of slide or float will have to keep checking the offiical web portal to know their status about upgradation. If seat allotted, then they will have to report at the concerned centres with the original provisional letter and the new seat allotment letter.

Provisional Admission Letter: The candidates who are allotted seats will be able to get their provisional admission letter after the completion of the admission procedures. Details about the allotted institute, counselling fee, branch, and more will be specified on the admission letter.

Reporting at Allotted Institute: Lastly, the allotted candidates will have to complete online reporting to their respective colleges/institutes to confirm their admission. The necessary fee has to be paid to confirm the seats allotment, If they didn’t report online within the specified time, then they will be disqualified.

Documents needed for verification

Candidates need to upload the required documents for verification at the reporting centres. The original documents and their photocopies have to be submitted.

  • A Hard copy of choices locked

  • Candidate undertaking

  • A hard copy of JEE Main 2021 admit card

  • JEE Main 2021 scorecard

  • Gov-approved photo ID proof

  • Date of birth Proof (10th class certificate)

  • Qualifying exam certificate & mark sheet

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

  • Demand draft of Rs.3000 drawn in favour of ‘NIT Tiruchirappalli CSAB-2021’

  • One passport size photo identical to the one uploaded in JEE Main 2021 application form.

  • Proof of state of eligibility for candidates having Senior Secondary certificate.

CSAB NUET Spot Round 2021

The exam authorities will conduct the CSAB NUET 2021 spot round if there are vacant seats remaining after the completion of the 1st and 2nd round of counselling. The details regarding the spot round will be released by the respective Directorate of Technical Education of the North-Eastern states and UTs. Candidates will be allotted as per their merit.

Combined Choice Filling for Engineering and Architecture

The combined choice filling for Engineering and Architecture will be made available for the candidates. During the combined choice filling, they will have to register and fill a single choice list, which will cover both Engineering and Architecture branches.

The candidates are asked to fill in as many choices as possible and lock it before the due date. If the choices are not locked, then the last chosen choices will be automatically taken into consideration for seat allotment. They will be allotted as per their merit, seats availability and preferences.
