CSAB NEUT 2024 - Central Seat Allocation Board has announced the CSAB NEUT 2024 seat allotment for round 2 on July 22, 2024. The authority has updated the link to check the seat allotment of CSAB NEUT 2024 on the official website csab.nic.in. To download the CSAB NEUT 2024 allotment letter, candidates need their JEE Main application number and password. Students allotted seats in this round can pay the seat acceptance fee and exercise their options from July 23 to 29, 2024. Candidates belonging to the North Eastern State/UTs can apply for admission to the Engineering/Architecture institutes through CSAB NEUT. The JEE Main common rank list (CRL) will be considered for admission to degree-level technical institutions.

The detailed schedule of CSAB NEUT has been announced on the official website. CSAB NEUT choice filling 2024 portal was active from June 21 to July 1. Registered candidates could verify their documents from June 20 to 30. CSAB NEUT 2024 counselling registration concluded on June 28. There are two rounds of CSAB NEUT counselling followed by a spot round. CSAB NEUT covers eight Northeastern states including Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim & Tripura. Also, four Union territories consisting of Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep. Since 2021, the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh joined as a participating Institute for admitting students in different courses from the different Northeastern states of the country. Only the eligible candidates will be considered for admission through CSAB NEUT 2024.

CSAB NEUT Eligibility Criteria 2024
The authority has released the CSAB NEUT 2024 eligibility criteria online. The eligibility criteria consist of domicile, education qualification, age and more. Candidates who fulfil the CSAB NEUT eligibility criteria can complete the registration online. Below is the detailed eligibility criteria.
Domicile - All of the candidates should meet the domicile requirements of any of the eight Northeastern states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura) or four Union Territories (Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep).
Educational Qualification - Candidates should have-
- Secured a rank in JEE Main 2024
- Appearing in Class XII (or equivalent) Board exam in the year 2022, 2023 and 2024 will be eligible for admission through CSAB NEUT-2024 provided they fulfil all other eligibility requirements.
- Candidates appearing for class 12th exam in 2024 and if their result is not yet declared, they can submit their XII pass certificate by December 31. In case, the candidate fails class 12th, his/her admission will be cancelled.
For Engineering and Architecture: Candidates must pass the class 12 exam with the following
(a) For B. E. /B. Tech. programmes - (i) Physics (ii) Mathematics (iii) Any one of Chemistry, biology, biotechnology, technical vocation subject. (iv) A language (v) Any subject other than the above four
(b) For B.Arch. Programmes: (i) Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (ii) Other two subjects
Age limit- As prescribed in the Information Bulletin and Application Form of JEE Main 2024.
CSAB NEUT Counselling Registration 2024
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility conditions were able to apply for the CSAB NEUT 2024 counselling. The authority conducted the CSAB NEUT counselling registration in online mode. The counselling process consists of registration, document verification, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted institutes. The counselling will be held in two rounds.
Registration: Candidates have to register for CSAB NEUT 2024 by using their JEE Main application number and password. They have to note that the correct details are provided since they will be correlated to the details submitted during JEE Main.
Filling and Locking of Choices:
After successful registration, they will have to choose their choice of colleges and courses in the order of preference.
The selection has to be done as per preference since it will be considered during seat allotment.
The candidates are advised to choose as many choices as possible to increase their chances of seat allotment.
Editing and rearrangement of choices will be done before locking it.
Changes will not be made once the choices are locked.
A printout of the locked choices has to be taken out for future use.
If they are unable to lock their choices before the last date, then the last saved options will get automatically locked.
Seat Allotment: The authorities will announce the CSAB NEUT 2024 seat allotment result online on July 8, 2024. The seat allotments are based on JEE Main ranks, availability of seats, and preferences. Candidates have to provide the candidates login credentials to download the CSAB NEUT 2024 allotment letter.
Reporting to Centres: The candidates allotted seats have to report to their respective centres for the document-checking process. Information regarding the reporting will be mentioned in the counselling letter. Also, they have to produce a demand draft of Rs. 4000 along with the necessary documents. While reporting at the centres, the candidates will be provided with the following three options:
Freezing: If the candidates are satisfied with their seats allotted, they can select this option. If this option is chosen, then they will not be able to participate in any further rounds of counselling.
Sliding: Candidates can choose this option if they are satisfied with their seats allotted but are still ready for allotment in a higher preferred course in the same institute during the next rounds of counselling.
Floating: If the candidates want to be considered for seat allotment into other colleges or institutes during the next rounds of counselling, then this option has to be chosen.
Note: Candidates who choose the option of slide or float will have to keep checking the official web portal to know their status about upgradation. If a seat is allotted, then they will have to report to the concerned centres with the original provisional letter and the new seat allotment letter.
Provisional Admission Letter: The candidates who will be allotted seats will be able to get their provisional admission letter after the completion of the admission procedures. Details about the allotted institute, counselling fee, branch, and more will be specified on the admission letter.
Reporting at Allotted Institute: Lastly, the allotted candidates will have to complete online reporting to their respective colleges/institutes to confirm their admission. The necessary fee has to be paid to confirm the seat allotment, If they don’t report online within the specified time, then they will be disqualified.

Candidates have to carry the following documents while reporting to the allotted institutes. All the documents must be original.

Proof of place of examination centre in case of the final qualifying examination is from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS)
Fee receipt of Rs.4000 online payment in favour of CSAB-2024.
One passport-size photo is identical to the one uploaded in JEE Main 2024 application form.
Proof of state of eligibility for candidates having a Senior Secondary certificate.

CSAB NEUT Spot Round 2024
The authorities will conduct the CSAB NEUT spot round counselling if the seats remain vacant after the completion of the 1st and 2nd rounds of counselling. The details regarding the spot round will be released by the respective Directorate of Technical Education of the North-Eastern states and UTs. Candidates will be allotted as per their merit.
Combined Choice Filling for Engineering and Architecture
The combined choice filling for Engineering and Architecture will be made available for the candidates. During the combined choice filling, they will have to register and fill a single choice list, which will cover both the Engineering and Architecture branches. The candidates will be asked to fill in as many choices as possible and lock in before the due date. If the choices will not be locked, then the last chosen choices will be automatically taken into consideration for seat allotment. They will be allotted as per their merit, seat availability and preferences.
