How CUSAT CAT Rank List is Prepared?

The authorities prepared the CUSAT provisional rank list 2024 on the basis of the percentile index. The Percentile index is calculated by using the given formula-

[(n+1-p)/n)]x S x 100

Here, n denotes the number of candidates appearing for the exam in a particular subject, p denotes the position according to the CUSAT CAT score and S denotes the actual score of the candidate.

Once the percentile index is calculated, the authorities will integrate the Percentile Indices to calculate the relative position of a candidate in the CUSAT CAT rank list 2024 for a particular engineering programme.

Tie-breaking Rule of CUSAT CAT 2024 Rank List

In case of two or more candidates having the same marks in CUSAT CAT 2024, the authorities will follow the given tie-breaking rule to break the tie-

• In case of a tie, candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be given a higher rank.

• If the tie is still not resolved, candidates with higher marks in Physics will be given a higher rank.

• If a tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will be given a higher CUSAT CAT rank.

• If the tie still continues, the total number of correct answers of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in the CAT will be considered in the same order.

• If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age will be given a higher CUSAT CAT rank.

• If the tie persists, the names of the candidates in alphabetical order will be considered to break the tie and release the CUSAT CAT last rank details 2024 on its official website.

CUSAT CAT Counselling 2024
