JEE Main 2021 Eligibility Criteria

NTA has released the JEE Main eligibility criteria on the official website. It is mandatory for all the JEE Main 2021 April/3rd session applicants to meet the specified eligibility criteria. The authorities will not offer admission to ineligible candidates. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the JEE Main April 2021.

JEE Main 2021 Application Form

JEE Main 4th session application form is available from July 9 to 12. Earlier, The NTA had closed the application form of JEE Main 2021 for the 3rd session on July 8. Interested candidates were required to fill the application form before the last date. Candidates can refer to the detailed steps below for reference purposes only.

Steps to fill JEE Main 2021 Application Form

Step 1 - Registration - The first step to fill out the application form is to complete the JEE Main 2021 registration by providing some basic details. Candidates will also be required to create a password and answer the security questions. Upon successful registration, a unique JEE Main application number will be generated which will be used for all the further logins.

Note: Candidates who will also appear for JEE Main 2021 January session will not be required to register. They have to login to the portal using the application number and password/date of birth.

Step 2 - Complete application form - Using the generated application number, candidates will have to login to the account and submit all the required details such as personal information, contact details, and academic details.

Step 3 - Upload the documents - In the next step, all the relevant documents need to be uploaded in the specified format.

Step 4 - Payment of application fee - Candidates also have to make the payment of the JEE Main 2021 application fee. To make a payment, candidates have to select Debit card/Credit card/Net banking etc. option and follow the instructions.

Step 5 - Printout of confirmation page - Finally, after making the successful payment, candidates should take a printout of the submitted application form.

JEE Main 2021 Exam Centres

The complete list of JEE Main 2021 April/3rd session has been released by the authorities on the official website. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has increased the JEE Main exam cities from 232 to 334 for the third and fourth sessions of the exam. Along with this, the number of JEE Main exam centres 2021 in every shift will be increased from 660 to 828.

JEE Main Marking Scheme for Paper 2 is-

MCQs- Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark on each incorrect answer.

Questions with numerical value answers - Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.

Marking Scheme for Drawing Test - Two questions are evaluated out of 100 marks

JEE Main 2021 Syllabus

Candidates preparing for JEE Main 2021 must check the detailed syllabus of the entrance exam. The syllabus consists of all the topics that must be covered by the candidates. JEE Main 3rd session 2021 syllabus consist of topics from class 11 and class 12 NCERT textbooks to ensure uniformity across the country. The syllabus of Paper I consist of topics from the 11th and 12th standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus while Paper 2 consists of topics from Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing.

The authorities have released the mock test of JEE Main 2021 on the official website. The mock test for both papers I & II has been released. To practice the mock tests, candidates are required to log in to the account. In order to solve the test in offline mode, candidates can download it.

JEE Main 2021 Admit Card

All the registered candidates will be able to download the admit card of JEE Main 2021 for the April/3rd session from the official website. JEE Main April admit card 2021 is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

JEE Main 2021 Answer Key

NTA will release the official answer key of JEE Main 2021 3rd/April session in online mode. It will be made available to candidates in PDF format. Using the JEE Main 2021 answer key, candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured marks. The answer key will contain the answers to all the questions asked in the entrance exam. The authorities will allow candidates to raise objections against the answer key. After considering the objections, the final JEE Main 2021 answer key for the April/3rd session will be released.

JEE Main 2021 Result

Candidates will be able to check the result of JEE Main 2021 result for the April/3rd session on the official website. To access the result, candidates will have to log in to the portal using the roll number and date of birth. The result will consist of All India Rank (AIR), total marks, subject wise scores, category rank and qualifying status.

JEE Main 2021 Rank List

On the basis of NTA scores, the authorities will release the rank list of JEE Main 2021. While preparing the rank list, the scores for the first attempt as well as for the second attempt will be merged for compilation of results. Candidates will be able to check the rank list on the official website.

JEE Main 2021 Cutoff

The minimum marks required by the candidates to be qualified for JEE Advanced will constitute the cutoff of JEE Main. Candidates will be able to check two types of cutoff, ‘the admission cutoff’ and ‘the qualifying cutoff’. JEE Main 2021 cut off percentile will consist of the opening and closing ranks for admissions into the participating institutes, whereas the qualifying cutoff will be released by JoSAA during the counselling process.

JEE Main 2021 Counselling

JEE Main 2021 qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) in online mode. In order to participate in the JEE Main counselling 2021 process, candidates will have to get themselves registered and select their choice of course and college. The JEE Main 2021 seat allotment will be done on the basis of availability of seat, preferred choices, and merit. Around seven rounds will be conducted by the authorities to provide admission into the B.E/B.Tech courses offered by NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
