What is the procedure for computing JEE Main Rank List 2021 for Paper 1?
The authorities will compile the NTA scores after the normalization process of raw marks secured by the candidates in the JEE Main 2021 exam.
Along with the overall score, separate NTA scores will be displayed for each subject.
While preparing the rank list, the best of four scores will be considered.
In case any candidate has given only one attempt, then that one will be considered for ranking purposes.
JEE Main Tie Breaking Procedure for Paper 1

1 | A candidate having a high NTA score in Mathematics will be given preference. |
2 | If still a tie persists, NTA score in Physics will be taken into account. . |
3 | If tie still continues, NTA score of Chemistry will be considered |
4 | Candidates having a lesser ratio of negative to positive responses will be given higher JEE Main rank |
What is the procedure for computing JEE Main Rank List 2021 for Paper 2?
Since the authorities will be conducting JEE Main 2021 in a single session, there will be no normalization of marks.
JEE Main Tie Breaking Procedure for Paper 2

2 | A candidate having a high in Aptitude will be given preference. |
3 | If still a tie persists, marks secured in Drawing will be taken into account. |
