JEE Main Seat Allotment 2021 - The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for conducting counselling for JEE Main 2021. After the National Testing Agency announces results for JEE Main, JoSAA counselling and seat allotment schedule is released. JoSAA shall conduct the online counselling in several rounds and JEE Main 2021 seat allotment will be announced accordingly. After each round of seat allotment for JEE Main, candidates will have to choose among accepting admission or proceed with the next round. The authorities shall announce seat allotment at JEE main counselling official website for each round. Candidates have to follow the series of steps provided below to access JEE Main 2021 seat allotment:
Visit the JEE Main counselling official website at josaa.nic.in
Click on the link to JEE Main seat allotment for the particular round
Candidate portal for JoSAA counselling shall open on the screen
Here, candidates need to enter JEE Main application number and password
They will also have to enter the security code provided in the box below and login
JEE Main 2021 seat allotment results shall appear on the screen
After the JoSAA seat allotment results are declared for a particular round, candidates will have the following options:
Float - If a candidate wishes to keep the allotted seat and also wishes to upgrade their seat, they can choose this option.
Freeze - In case a candidate is satisfied with the JEE Main seat allotment 2021 result and does not want to participate in further rounds of JoSAA counselling, the/ she can select the freeze option.
Slide - If a candidate wishes to accept the seat allotted under a particular round but wants to upgrade the B.Tech programme in the same JEE Main participating institute, they can select the slide option.
Withdraw - If any candidate had already accepted the seat allotted, such candidate may withdraw the seat by reporting at the allotted institute before the final round of JEE Main 2021 seat allotment approaches.
After selecting any of the options mentioned above as per their preference, candidates will have to pay the fee as reflected in the table below through SBI Net banking or e-challan.
