JoSAA 2025 - The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will conduct JoSAA 2025 counselling online. A detailed notification for JoSAA 2025 will be released on the official website josaa.nic.in. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main or JEE Advanced exam can participate in JoSAA counselling. The authority will conduct five rounds of JoSAA 2025 counselling for admission into IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
The authority will commence the JoSAA 2025 counselling process after the JEE Advanced results are declared. Eligible candidates will have to complete the JoSAA registration and choice-filling to be considered for the counselling. The JoSAA seat allocation will be based on the merit of the candidate’s merit, choices filled and the availability of seats. JoSAA 2025 Counselling: What's New?
Two new participating institutes have been added to the list of JoSAA participating institutes recently. THe two institutes are:

Gati shakti Vishwa vidhyalaya, Vadodara.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for the JoSAA counselling for admission into IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
JoSAA Dates 2025
The authority will announce the JoSAA 2025 counselling dates online. Candidates must be aware of the JoSAA 2025 dates to for an overview of the various events of JoSAA counselling 2025. JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2025
There are no specific eligibility criteria for JoSAA 2025. Candidates have to qualify the JEE Mains exam or JEE Advanced 2025 to participate in JoSAA counselling. Additionally, the criteria of the participating institutes also have to be met by the candidates. If the required criteria are not fulfilled, the candidate will not be allotted the seat to the institute offering B.Tech admission.

JoSAA Registration & Choice Filling 2025
The authorities will conduct the JoSAA 2025 registration & choice-filling online. All the eligible candidates must register within the specified dates to participate in JoSAA 2025. Candidates who have a valid JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced rank will be able to log in and register for the JoSAA counselling procedure. Steps for JoSAA 2025 Registration & Choice Filling

Step 1: Registration - In the first step, the candidates must complete the JoSAA 2025 registration process. To register for JoSAA 2025:
Go to the official website of JoSAA.
Click on the registration link.
Enter the JEE Main 2025 roll number and password to register.
JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates can use their corresponding password to log in.
Enter basic details such as the candidate’s nationality, state code of eligibility, gender, and more.
Review the details and re-confirm it.
No personal information, except for contact information, can be modified by the candidates.
Step 2: JoSAA Choice Filling - After the JoSAA registration process is complete, candidates will have to fill in their choice of courses and colleges from the available list. The courses and colleges for which the candidates are eligible according to their qualifications (JEE Main or JEE Advanced) will be listed online. The selection of courses and colleges has to be done in the order of preference.
Step 3: Choice Locking - Finally, the candidates have to lock their selected choices. It has to be noted that no changes will be accepted once the choices are locked by the candidates. A printout of the locked choices has to be taken for future reference.
JoSAA Rank List 2025
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will release the JoSAA 2025 rank list after the JEE Main and JEE Advanced results are announced. A separate rank list will be released for different categories. JoSAA counselling opening and closing rank lists will be prepared based on marks secured in JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025.

JoSAA Mock Allotment 2025
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the JoSAA 2025 mock allotment to help candidates know their admission chances into their preferred colleges. If the colleges and courses allotted during mock allotment are not satisfactory, then the candidates can accordingly modify their order preference. Since the JoSAA allotment is not final, the candidates are given enough time to make the necessary changes in the order of preference.
JoSAA Counselling 2025
Eligible candidates have to participate in the counselling of JoSAA 2025 to get admission into the participating institutes. The JoSAA 2025 counselling process consists of registration, choice filling, mock allotment, final allotment, etc. The authorities will conduct five rounds of JoSAA counselling 2025 to provide admissions to all eligible candidates. After the JoSAA mock allotment is announced, the candidates can modify their previously selected preferences. The JoSAA allotment results are announced online and candidates have to log in to download their provisional allotment results.
JoSAA Seat Allocation 2025
Joint Seat Allocation Authority will release the result of JoSAA seat allocation 2025 online on the official website. To check the seat allocation result, the candidates must log in using their JEE Main 2025 roll number and password.
How to check JoSAA Seat Allotment Result 2025?
Candidates should take the following steps to check the JoSAA seat allotment result-
Visit josaa.nic.in.
Click on the “View Seat Allotment Result” link.
Enter JEE Main 2025 application number, password and security pin.
Click on “Login”.
JoSAA 2025 seat allotment results will be displayed on the screen.
Download the allotment letter and take a printout.
What after JoSAA Seat Allotment 2025?
Candidates are allotted seats based on their JEE Main/JEE Advanced merit, preferences, category and availability of seats. The allotted candidates must download their provisional allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs. 35,000. After the fee is paid, the candidates must verify their documents at the Reporting Centre (RC).
The allotted candidates will be able to select any of the following options according to their preference after the JoSAA seat allotment results 2025 are announced by the authorities:
Floating: If the candidates wish to accept the allotted seat but are also open to upgradation and admission to higher preferred institutes or courses, then they will have to select this option.
Freezing: Candidates have to select this option if they are satisfied with their allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of counselling.
Sliding: The candidates who choose this option will confirm their allotment but will also be open for admission into a higher preferred course in the same institute.
After the document verification is completed, the candidates must report to their respective allotted institutes to confirm their admission. The required fee also has to be paid by the candidates.
JoSAA Cutoff 2025
The opening and closing ranks at which candidates will get admission to the participating institutes (IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, etc.) form the JoSAA 2025 cutoff. The authorities will publish the JoSAA 2025 cutoff round-wise on the official website.

JoSAA Reporting Centres 2025
After the allotment process is over, candidates will have to verify their documents at the reporting centres of JoSAA 2025. The authorities will release the list of reporting centres on the official website. Candidates can check the important points related to JoSAA reporting centres here-
Candidates will be required to physically report for verification of documents at the JoSAA reporting centres 2025.
Candidates must carry the original and photocopies of all the required documents for verification.
Different reporting centres will be available for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs.
Candidates must report to the reporting centres according to their allotted institutes. There will be separate institutes for the NIT+ system (NITs, IIITs and GFTIs) and IITs.
After the verification process is completed, candidates must complete their admission procedure by reporting at their allotted institute.
In case of a change in the seat allotment of a candidate from the NIT+ system to IITs or the other way around, then the candidate will have to report to the changed institute. Failing to report will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

JoSAA Participating Institutes 2025
Candidates are offered admission into the participating institutes of JoSAA through the JoSAA 2025 counselling. Based on JEE Main scores, the candidates can apply for allotment into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Allotment in IITs is done for JEE Advanced qualified candidates.
