How to check KCET Seat Allotment 2021?

Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below in order to access the KCET 2021 seat allotment online:

  • Visit the official website at kea.kar.nic.in as per KCET seat allotment date 2021.

  • Click on the link to KCET allotment 2021.

  • Candidates will have to enter their Karnataka CET number.

  • Now, click on the ‘Submit’ button.

  • KCET seat allotment 2021 shall be displayed on the screen.

  • Download the same and proceed with the further KCET seat allotment procedure.

Process Involved in KCET Seat Allotment 2021

Candidates who wish to know the Karnataka CET counselling date 2021 may note that the authorities are yet to announce the official schedule. Once the KCET counselling starts, the authorities shall announce KCET 2021 seat allotment for each round in online mode.

KCET Mock Seat Allotment

The authorities allow candidates to fill in their preference of institutes and courses in which admission is sought for through KCET 2021. To give candidates an idea of which seats they may be allotted through the final KCET seat allotment, mock seats are allotted to candidates.

Once the mock KCET seat allotment result is out, candidates will be allowed to make modifications in the choices filled in by them previously. As it is a mock round of KCET 2021 seat allotment, candidates need not report at the institutes allotted through this round.

KCET First Round Seat Allotment 2021

As the first round of KCET counselling comes to an end, the authorities shall announce the KCET seat allotment 2021 under the first round. The same shall be done considering the choices filled in by candidates, rank obtained in the exam and the availability of seats. Firstly, the candidates reserved under special category such as physically disabled, NCC and sports category will be allotted seats followed by the candidates of general categories.

KCET Seat Allotment 2021 - Second Round

After the seat allotment under the first round gets over, candidates will have to go with modification in choices through KCET option entry 2021. This shall be followed by KCET 2021 seat allotment under round 2. Seats reserved under rural and Kannada medium quota shall be filled under KCET 2021 allotment second round.

Second Extended round of KCET Seat Allotment 2021

Under this round of KCET seat allotment 2021, seats remaining vacant after the first round shall be filled for categories of SCG, STG, 1G, 2AG, 2BG, 3AG, 3BG, GMR and GMK along with others. All of the above mentioned seats will be converted to general category seats and KCET seat allotment 2021 shall be done for candidates of all categories.

Special Round of KCET 2021 Seat Allotment

In case seats still remain vacant after the two rounds and the extended round of KCET seat allotment are conducted, the authorities may conduct a special round as well. However, if all the seats are filled in through the previous rounds of KCET 2021 allotment, the authorities may not conduct any further rounds.

Process After KCET Seat Allotment 2021

After announcement of KCET allotment of seats for a particular round, candidates will have to check and decide over the colleges so allotted to them. If they are satisfied with the institute allotted, they will proceed with admission and if not, they will continue with the next round of KCET 2021 seat allotment. Given below are the various options which the candidates are left with:

First Choice - Acceptance of Seat: In such a case where the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted and wants to take admission in the institute, choice 1 has to be selected. The next step to KCET seat allotment procedure requires candidates to pay the tuition fee of the institute allotted through online mode. After that, they have to report at the institute for further admission process.

Second Choice - Acceptance and Further Participation: If the candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted through Karnataka CET counselling round 1, but still wishes to participate in the further rounds, this option has to be opted. Candidates will have to select a new course or college for further round during option entry. If a higher seat is allocated in the next round of KCET seat allotment 2021, then the previously allotted seat shall be cancelled.

Third Choice - Unsatisfied and Further Participation: Candidates who are not satisfied with the seat allotted in the current round and wish to participate in the next round has to select the choice 3. Such candidates are not required to make changes in the choices selected by them at the time of KCET option entry 2021 date.

Fourth Choice - Unsatisfied and Quitting: Those candidates who are neither satisfied with the seat allotted under KCET counselling nor wish to proceed with the further rounds have to select this option. So, the seat allotted shall be cancelled and his candidature to participate in further rounds of Karnataka CET counselling shall be null.

Cancellation of Seat Allotted

  • There are chances that a candidate who is allotted a seat in the first or second round of KCET counselling and wishes to surrender or cancel the seat. It can be done before the last KCET option entry 2021 date for the second extended round. Such candidate shall be refunded the fee after deducting the processing fee of Rs 5000

  • Forfeiture of complete fee shall be done for the candidate allotted a seat in first or second round who has not reported at the college/ institute so allotted and surrenders the seat after second extended round completion.

  • Complete fee will also be forfeited if a candidate surrenders the seat allotted through the second extended round.

  • Surrender or cancellation of seats shall not be allowed to candidates if they do not return the original documents like admission order, bank challan, green card and verification slip.

KCET Cutoff 2021

KEA will release the cutoff of KCET 2021 after the conclusion of each round of counselling. The KCET 2021 cutoff will include the minimum marks required by the candidates to be eligible for admission. Since the authorities have not yet released the KCET 2021 cutoff, candidates can check the previous year's cutoff in the table below.
