Know about Chitkara University from Aditya (Student)

The Punjab State Legislature established Chitkara University Mohali in 2010 under "The Chitkara University Act." According to the UGC Act of 1956, the institution awards degrees at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. In order to help students get exposure to other cultures, Chitkara University offers them the chance to participate in the student exchange programmes. Major cities including Chandigarh, Mohali, Ambala, Panchkula, and Patiala are all within equal driving distance of the university. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programmes in subjects including management, applied health sciences, design, and engineering, among others.

CareersToday. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?

Aditya. I am Aditya from Jammu.

CareersToday. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

Aditya. I am pursuing my bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering and I’m in the 2nd year of my degree.

Aditya. No, I did not face any problem in the initial months when I joined the university.

Aditya. There are a lot of clubs present in chitkara. Some of them are c2s2 ieee, bnb, iste, acm. Currently I am not part of any club.

CareersToday. Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Aditya. I attend lectures and in my free time I go to the university library.

CareersToday. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Aditya. Faculty is well qualified and friendly at Chitkara University.

CareersToday. How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Aditya. We have all the major facilities here. I like the ambience of infrastructure the most as a hosteller and the food is great.

CareersToday. What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Aditya. The university has good medical services. You can avail them anytime.

CareersToday. How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?

Aditya. By doing time management and by attending my classes regularly I try to keep a balance in my life.

CareersToday. Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?

Aditya. There are a lot of clubs which help you engage in different activities of your interest over and above studies. They are very important as they help you develop skills other than studies.

CareersToday. Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Aditya. I have no idea regarding this.

CareersToday. How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?

Aditya. I spend most of my leisure time at Square one, hostel and library and by hanging out with friends

CareersToday. Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views, jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where they write about their experience of life at campus?

Aditya. The university has some instagram pages where information about university events and other information is posted.

Aditya. Chitkara University has a very good placement history. Around 95% of students get placed every year through the university placement drive.
