Before filling the application form for CLAT 2022, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for appearing in the national-level law entrance examination. The CLAT 2022 eligibility criteria for UG and LLM include the following.CLAT eligibility criteria 2022

3-year LLB or 5-year integrated LLB

45 % (40% in case of SC and ST candidates)

While filling the application form candidates will be required to upload some documents and provide information related to their educational qualifications. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready before filling the application form.

All the eligible candidates can fill the CLAT 2022 application form in online mode. The application process for CLAT 2022 includes the following four steps.

Visit the official website of CLAT 2022 - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Click on CLAT 2022 link and open the registration panel (will be displayed after the announcement of admission).
Click on the “Register” link.
Fill the CLAT 2022 registration form by entering your name, mobile number and email ID and submit the details.
You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and email ID
Complete your registration by entering the OTP on the CLAT login page
After completing the registration candidates can access the application form of CLAT 2022. The application form will have five sections - personal information, communication details, qualifying examination details, preference and reservation. candidates will have to enter all the relevant information in these sections. The step by step process of filling CLAT application form is elaborated below.
Enter personal details
Upload a recent passport size photograph and signature as per the instructions.
Enter the personal details - Applicant’s full name, gender, date of birth, father’s name, mother’s name, category, nationality, residential status, NRI category status (if applicable).
After filling in the details, click on next to move to the communication page
Enter your permanent address and correspondence address
Enter the email ID and mobile number
Save the details and move to next page
Candidates will have to enter their education details. For UG CLAT, candidates have to enter Class 10th and Class 12th details. Candidates applying for LLM will have to enter the graduation details in addition to the school education details. Candidates will have to enter the following education details.

Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam need not enter the percentage of marks in the qualifying exam
Candidates will have to select any three exam centres for CLAT 2022, in the order of preference. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted in more than 80 cities across the country. The consortium allows the candidates to select national law universities in the order of their preference. The preference given by the candidates at the time of the application process will be used at the time of counselling for the purpose of seat allotment. Therefore, candidates are advised to select the NLUs wisely. The top-ranked NLUs should be given preference over the remaining universities. For reference, candidates can check the list of top-ranked NLUs under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) which is released by the Government of India.

Most of the national law universities are offering domicile reservations. So, candidates will have to select their reservation status if they are eligible for the reservation offered by any of the NLUs. candidates applying for domicile reservation or any other type of case reservation must have a valid document issued by the competent authority.
At present, among the CLAT participating institutes, all national law universities except NLU Jodhpur are offering domicile reservations.
After filling all sections of the application form, candidates will have to sign the declaration box given at the end of the application form and submit the details.
To complete the application process, the candidate must submit the registration fees. The CLAT application fee is Rs. 4,000 (Rs. 3,500 for SC and ST candidates. Candidates can submit their application fees in online mode, using net banking, credit card or debit card options.

The consortium may not allow the candidates to make corrections to their application form after the closing date. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill the application with utmost care and complete the application process before the deadline.
However, if the consortium provides a correction window, it will be available for all. The notification regarding the correction window will be released separately on the admission portal.
NLU Consortium will release the CLAT 2022 admit card to the successfully registered candidates. The admit card of CLAT is released a few days before the examination. It is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. The CLAT admit card also informs the candidates about their roll number, exam centre and exam day guidelines.
