CLAT Exam Pattern 2021 - The Consortium of NLUs will conduct CLAT 2021 exam on July 23 in offline, pen-and-paper mode. The exam will be conducted following all COVID 19 safety protocols. Also, in a major development, the Descriptive section has been dropped from CLAT PG, and the LLM question paper will now have 120 MCQs. However, no changes have been made to CLAT UG 2021 question paper, which will continue to have 150 MCQs.

The Consortium of NLUs had introduced comprehension-based questions for both CLAT UG and PG in 2020. Also last year, the exam was conducted in online mode given the pandemic.

The consortium has asked candidates to get vaccinated before appearing in the CLAT 2021 exam. The CLAT UG syllabus has 5 subjects. Each subject will have a fixed number of questions and weightage. No, the descriptive section has been dropped in CLAT LLM.
In addition, the number of questions in the objective section has been increased from 100 to 120. So, now the CLAT LLM will be of 120 marks examination.

The CLAT LLM will be subject to minimum cutoff. The minimum cut off for CLAT LLM is 40%. Candidates who are from SC, ST and PWD categories will have to score at least 35% marks. The evaluation of descriptive section will be done only if the candidate secures the minimum marks in the objective test.
