The CLAT website mentions all the details regarding both CLAT exam and CLAT PG. It mentions CLAT 2021 syllabus, test pattern along with tips for preparation. The application form was released on the official website of CLAT 2021 on January 1, 2021. Candidates may register by using the CLAT login portal available on the official website. As per the notification released by the authorities on CLAT 2021 official website, the entrance exam will be held on June 13 in offline mode.

What is CLAT Consortium?

The consortium of National Law Universities is a permanent group of 22 national law universities. The consortium of NLUs was created in August 2017 and since its inception, it has evolved into a well organised and transparent organisation. The CLAT consortium also takes steps to reform the examination scheme and NLU admission process from time to time. For example, in 2020, the consortium announced that CLAT will be a test of reading and critical thinking skills. It also reduced the number of questions from 200 to 150 in CLAT UG. The questions in CLAT PG were also reduced from 150 to 120.

CLAT Eligibility - The official website mentions the eligibility criteria for both CLAT UG and CLAT PG. The CLAT eligibility criteria 2021 are expressed in terms of the educational qualification and minimum marks required in the qualifying exam. The CLAT UG eligibility criteria are different from CLAT PG eligibility criteria. In CLAT UG, candidates are required to have passed Class 12th whereas, CLAT PG, being a graduate-level test requires 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB as educational qualification.

CLAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus - The official website also carries details regarding CLAT syllabus, pattern and marking scheme. Candidates preparing for the exam must be aware of the latest CLAT exam pattern and syllabus published by the CLAT Consortium.

CLAT Admit Card - A few weeks before the examination, the consortium will release the CLAT 2021 admit card at its official website. The admit card will be available for download at the candidate login portal. Candidates will have to use the CLAT 2021 admit card as a hall ticket for appearing in the examination.
