CLAT result 2021 will be released in the form of scorecards and contains the details such as sectional and overa;; marks obtained in CLAT, and rank. Candidates may download the scorecard by using the CLAT exam login portal. Along with the CLAT 2021 result, the consortium of NLUs will also release the merit list for both UG and PG law programmes. Open the CLAT login portal
Enter mobile number and password, click on login option
Click on the view result option

Along with the result, the consortium will also release the merit list of CLAT UG and PG. Candidates may check the CLAT 2021 merit list from the notification section. The CLAT merit list is prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates: One who scores higher marks will be given a better rank than others.
In case two or more candidates have scored similar marks in the test, the consortium will adopt the tie breaking rule to decide the ranking of such candidates. The CLAT tie breaker rule is explained below.
Candidates getting higher marks in the Legal Aptitude section will be given a higher rank.
If the tie continues, the candidate senior in age will be placed in a higher rank.
If the tie is unresolved even after above rules, the ranking will be decided by the computerized draw of lots
Even though the all india rank doesn’t take the category status into consideration, the category rank plays an important role in determining the counselling and seat allotment result. The CLAT category rank is communicated to the candidates individually. Once may check the category rank at the CLAT login portal.
With a merit list, the CLAT toppers list will also be available. The CLAT toppers will be those getting highest marks in the examination. In the previous session, Aprajita topped CLAT UG by scoring 127.25 marks. The list of CLAT 2020 toppers is given below.

The candidates will be able to check the CLAT 2021 cut off at the time of CLAT seat allotment. The CLAT cut off will be available for each NLU separately. It will be the last rank or minimum marks to be considered for admissions. Thus, the CLAT cut off sets a benchmark for admissions to national law universities. Candidates may also check the past year trends of CLAT cut off to understand how many marks they may need to secure to get a preferred NLU. Following the declaration of result and merit list, the consortium will release the CLAT invite list. The invite list will contain the names and ranks of the candidates who will be considered eligible for participating in the counselling and seat allotment process. The CLAT invite list will be released for both CLAT UG and PG programmes.
Candidates shortlisted through the invite list will have to register for CLAT counselling for which a detailed schedule will be released separately. The counselling of CLAT will include steps such as online registration, choice filling, document submission and fee payment. The CLAT counselling will be conducted in three rounds and after each round, a seat allotment list will be released for each National Law University.
