CLAT Seats 2023 – The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) conducts the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) which is a national-level law entrance examination conducted for admission to National Law Universities (NLU). The 22 participating NLUs release a separate list of CLAT 2023 seats. Candidates seeking admission to NLUs through CLAT exam should be aware of CLAT seats 2023. The seats of CLAT 2023 are divided on the basis of seat matrix and reservation policy of all NLUs. CLAT Seats 2023

After declaration of CLAT 2023 results, the NLUs offers admission to candidates on the basis of availability of seats. The NLUs in distribution of CLAT 2023 seats have also started offering domicile quotas in their total seat intake.Thus, the candidates can check the NLU wise distribution of CLAT seats 2023 in the table given below.

Categories of Seat Distribution in CLAT 2023

The total seats in CLAT 2023 are distributed based on the reservations of categories. The list of categories in seat distribution in CLAT are:

  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)

  • Scheduled Caste (SC)

  • Other Backward Categories (OBC)

  • State Quota for the candidates in which NLU is located

  • Physically Disable Candidates (PwD)

  • Foreign National Candidates/NRI

  • Kashmiri Migrants

  • Candidates belonging to the North Eastern States

Important information of CLAT 2023 Seats

  • There will be three rounds in which CLAT seats will be allotted to students.

  • If you have allotted an NLU, you will be required to deposit a counseling fee of Rs. 30,000 for locking the allotted seat in the NLU.

  • In any case, if you do not deposit the counseling fee, you will forfeit your candidature, while NLUs drop your names from CLAT 2022 merit list as well.

  • If you wish to withdraw and do that after the withdrawal date, NLUs will not refund the deposited amount.

  • If you are on the waiting list and do not get the seat because of vacant seat unavailability, you will get your fee refunded.

  • On final allocation, report to the respective NLU and fulfill the admission formalities by paying the balance fees and submitting the original certificates.
