Dr. Jain: Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies & School of Law was established by Rishi Aurobindo Educational Society (Regd.) in the year 2007. Affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, the college is a leading Management & Law School in Delhi offering 3-year undergraduate courses in BBA & BBA CAM, BCA, B.Com(H) & 5-year Integrated courses in B.A.LL.B & BBA LL.B with an approximate enrollment of 2500+Students and 100+ faculty and staff members. Q. Tell us something about the admission process?
Dr. Jain: Admission procedure in BA.LLB /BBALLB courses are through CLAT 2021 Exam. It is mandatory for all applicants to appear in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) - Undergraduate, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities.
Applicants also have to fill Application Form and register for B.A.LL.B/ BBALL.B Course of GGSIP University (www.ipu.ac.in)
The GGSIP University shall consider the merit prepared on the basis of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT ) for its admissions.
Candidates should have at least 50% (Best of 4 subjects including English) in the qualifying Examination (10+2).
Intake For B.A.LL.B -180 / BBA LL.B -120
Management Quota Seats
The Institute takes admission in Management Quota which is 10% of the total intake of each course. Candidates seeking admission to Management Quota seats are to satisfy above mentioned eligibility criteria.

Q. There is a lot of stress that is being made with regard to interaction with the industry as well as companies that recruit. What are the steps being taken by the institute in this direction?
CPJ School of Law has been achieving immense Internships & Placements for the Law students, especially the Final Year ones wherein the students are successfully associated and placed with various Law Firms, KPOs, LPOs, Indian Corporates, MNCs and Senior Advocates of the Hon'ble Courts at Delhi. Academic Visits: To Courts/ Jails/ Lok Adalat/ Parliament CPJ School of Law organizes Court Visits for its students, wherein they visit the District Courts, Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India intermittently during their academic sessions. This enables them to understand the functioning of the courts and boost their confidence to be a part of the legal fraternity. Jail Visits are also organized for the students to familiarize them with the prison management system and the overall functioning of the Jails. As a part of the practical training in legal education, Parliament Visits are organized for students to get acquainted with the functioning of the Parliament. Periodical visits to Lok Adalats are organized to understand the Alternate Dispute Redressal mechanism. Delhi Legal Service Authority Internship Programme CPJ School of Law, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Delhi Legal Service Authority (DLSA) for the training & Internship programmes of our Law students. For this purpose, interviews of students are conducted by DLSA for their selection as Para Legal Volunteers, who are assigned tasks of Free Legal Aid to the poor and needy people in Delhi.Q. Internships are now mandatory as per AICTE guidelines. Does the institute help students with this? If yes, how?
Internship plays an important role in imparting the practical aspect of the legal profession. The main aim of internships is application of knowledge acquired in law school into reality.
Internships provide you exposure to multifarious people, situations and work. As per IP University Curriculum all students have to undergo the mandatory Internship in the 3rd, 4th and 5th year.
CPJ Organizes summer Internships that helps students to acquire direct practical experience in the industry /law firms so that students can acquire first hand information about the work environment so that they can adapt themselves quickly to their new challenges after placement.
Law students can do their internship under NGOs, Trial and Appellate Advocates, Judicial Officials, Legal regulatory authorities, legal functionaries, market institutions, law firms, companies, where law is practiced either in action or in dispute resolution. According to BCI guidelines such internship in any year cannot be for a continuous period of more than four weeks and all students shall at least once in the duration of their academic course pursue internship with trial and appellate advocates.
Four Months Internship
After completion of 9th Semester, students have to undergo a Compulsory Internship for Four Months duration and a report has to be submitted by each student separately as part of the GGSIPU curriculum.
One Month Summer Internship
After completion of the 4th, 6th and 8th Semester, students have to undergo a Compulsory Summer Internship for one month and a report has to be submitted by each student as part of the course curriculum.
The Placement & Internship Cell of Law Wing facilitates students in achieving 100% Placement & Internship.Q. Can you please share details if there is any collaboration with universities abroad? As such, there is no collaboration in universities abroad. But the college does organize International Academic Visit to diverse Industry & Educational Institution for Certification Program for its students.
