MH CET law counselling 2021 - The State CET Cell, Maharashtra has commenced the counselling for MH CET law 5-year LLB with CAP registration starting on November 17, 2021. The MH CET law counselling for 3-year LLB will commence from November 25, 2021. It has also released the list of documents required for MH CET law counselling and MH CET law result analysis for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. Candidates can use the CET 2021 result analysis (download now) for choosing law colleges while filling the option form. The counselling is being conducted in multiple rounds. After each round, the CET cell will release the MH CET law admission/merit list containing the details of the shortlisted candidates. Such candidates will have to report at the allocated college and complete the admission formalities. Candidates who have secured a non-zero CET score in MH CET law 2021 will have the opportunity to register for MH CET law counselling which is also known as the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). MH CET law counselling 2021 - Centralized Admission Process (CAP)

The State CET Cell will announce the detailed schedule for MH CET law 2021 counselling soon after the result declaration. It will upload the three year LLB and five year LLB information brochures on its counselling portal. The centralized admission process of MH CET law counselling will be conducted in the following steps.

Online registration for CAP

Candidates who secured a non-Zero score in MH CET law 2021 will be eligible for MH CET law CAP registration 2021. For registration, candidates will have to log in using their CET cell ID and password. Candidates will have to fill and submit the online CAP application and upload the requisite certificates, as applicable and upload the documents as per the instructions given by the CET Cell. Candidates should keep the following documents handy for participating in the MH CET law counselling process.

  • Marksheet of qualifying examination

  • MH CET law 2021 Admit Card

  • Scorecard of MH CET law 2021

  • Birth certificate

  • Domicile certificate

  • Caste certificate (if admission is sought under reserved category)

  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

Documents to be uploaded for MH CET law counselling

Maharashtra State Type-A Candidates

Domicile Certificate of the candidate from the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Type-B Candidates

Domicile certificate of father or mother of candidate indicating that he/she is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Type-C Candidate

Certificate from the employer stating that the father or mother of the candidate who is a central government undertaking employee is presently posted in/outside Maharashtra.

Refer to Pro forma-A in the official notification

Maharashtra State Type-D Candidate

Certificate from the employer stating that the father or mother of the candidate is Maharashtra state government or Maharashtra state government undertaking employee.

Or

Undertaking along with documentary evidence from the retired employees stating the place of settlement.

Candidates should refer to Pro forma-B-1 and Proforma-B2 given by CET Cell on its notification.

Maharashtra State Type-E Candidates of Maharashtra-Karnataka disputed border area

  1. Certificate stating that candidate belongs to the disputed border area (Pro forma-G1).

  2. Certificate stating that the mother tongue of the candidate is Marathi (Pro forma-G2)

Backward class candidates belonging to SC/ST category having

1) Caste certificate

2) Caste/Tribe validity certificate

Backward class candidates belonging to VJ/ DT/ NT(A)/ NT(B)/ NT(C) /NT(D)/ O.B.C/

S.B.C Caste Certificate

1) Caste certificate.

2) Caste/Tribe validity certificate.

3) Non-Creamy layer certificate valid up to March 31, 2022.

Economically Weaker

Section candidates (EWS) from the state of Maharashtra only

EWS Certificate issued by competent authority valid for the Current Academic Year.

Person with Disability (PWD) candidates

Locomotor disability

  1. PWD certificate issued by competent authority (The Range of disability should be <40%.)

  2. Domicile Certificate of the Candidate.

Jammu and Kashmir migrant candidates.

Certificate of posting in case of defence and Government servants in Proforma-J

OR

2)Certificate of stay in refugee camp for those staying in camp in Proforma-K

OR

3)Certificate stating that the candidate belongs to a displaced family in Proforma-L

Minority Candidates (For Maharashtra state candidates)

  1. Domicile certificate of the candidate or birth certificate

  2. Declaration of the candidate for the respective minority community (Refer to Proforma “O”).

  3. Leaving certificate having Information pertaining to religion/mother tongue.

Certificate for orphan candidates

Orphan certificate issued by competent authority.

E-scrutiny of documents for verification

The expert committee of the CET Cell will verify the documents submitted by the candidates and update the verification status on the counselling portal. However, the final document verification will be conducted at the admitting college.

MH CET law merit list (Provisional and Final)

The State CET Cell authorities will publish the provisional merit list for MH CET law 2021. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. For both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB, an alphabetical list of MS (Maharashtra State) and OMS (Other State) candidates will be uploaded on the counselling portal.

The candidates will be given an opportunity to raise their objection against the merit list and submit their grievances. Following which a rescrutiny will be conducted and a final merit list will be published.

First-round seat allotment and reporting at college

Based on the final merit list, the CET cell will prepare a seat allotment list indicating the college allotments. The seat allotment will be conducted based on merit cum preference. After seat allotment, candidates will have to accept the seat by paying the seat acceptance fee at the Admission Reporting Centre.

Candidates will have to report to the law colleges in order to confirm their admission. The law colleges will verify the candidate’s details upload the admission status of the candidates.

MH CET law counselling (CAP) - Second round

For the second round of counselling, the CET Cell will publish the status of vacant seats available for admission.

Candidates should note that -

  1. Those who are allotted admission as per their first college preference will not be able to participate in the next round of MH CET law CAP 2021. Their allotment will be auto frozen.

  2. Candidates who are allotted seats in colleges other than the first preference will have two option - First - accept the seat and complete the admission process by reporting at ARC and the allotted college. Second - participate in the next round of CAP for the betterment of allotment.

  3. Candidates who have been allotted seats other than the first preference and have accepted the seats will by reporting at the ARC also be eligible for participating in the second round of MHCET law 2021 counselling.

  4. Candidates who have not registered for CAP so far will be eligible for appearing in the second round of CAP.

The counselling process under CAP round 2 will be similar to round 1. Candidates will have to register for the CAP and upload their documents on the counselling portal. The authorities will verify the documents and release a provisional merit list based on marks obtained by the candidates in MH CET law 2021. This will be followed by the seat allotment process which is conducted again based on merit cum preference.

Candidates who could not secure admission in the second round or those not satisfied with their allotment will have the opportunity to participate in the subsequent rounds. The colleges may also conduct the spot round admission to fill the vacant seats left after the final round of counselling.
