Graduation in any discipline
Class 12th or any equivalent from a recognised board or institute.
Minimum marks required in qualifying exam
The State CET Cell has prescribed the following criteria for MH CET
Maharashtra State Candidature Type
All India candidature type
General, EWS, Orphan candidates
SC and ST
VJNT, SBC and OBC
*Candidates applying under all India candidature are considered open category candidates.
Popular Law Entrance Exam:
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (Class 12th for 5-year LLB and graduation final year for 3-year LLB) are also eligible for appearing in the entrance test.
Candidates appearing for MH CET law 2021 for 3-year LLB must have passed graduation in the order of 10+2+3.
Candidates who have passed the 3-year diploma course are eligible for appearing in MH CET law 5-year LLB.
Candidates who have passed Class 12th from the distance education system are eligible to appear in MH CET law 5-year LLB, provided that they have obtained the basic qualification required.
Candidates who have obtained +2 higher secondary without having the basic qualification are not eligible for appearing in MH CET law 5-year LLB.
Candidates who have obtained the graduation qualification without having the basic qualification (10+2) are not eligible to appear in the MH CET law 2021 for a three-year LLB.
The authorities have notified various categories under which it will offer reservation and offer admission. Broadly there are six categories notified under MH CET law 2021 eligibility criteria - Maharashtra state candidature type, all India category candidature type, Foreign nationals, NRI/OCI and PIO card holders, minority category, J&K category candidates. The definition of important categories under MH CET law eligibility criteria are explained below.
Type of Maharashtra state candidature
Type - A
Domicile of Maharashtra or born in the state of Maharashtra
Type - B
Candidates whose father or mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.
Type - C
A candidate whose father or mother is an employee of the Government of India who is posted and reported to duty in the Maharashtra State before the last date for submitting the Application Form for CAP.
Type - D
The Father or Mother of the Candidate is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking
Type - E
The candidates passing SSC and or HSC Examination or Equivalent Examination from a recognized institution from a disputed Maharashtra- Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother Tongue is Marathi.
A candidate who is an Indian national and is not included in the Maharashtra State Candidature type will be considered in an open category or all India category.
This category includes candidates who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India. It also includes those candidates who are from unsafe border areas of J&K and have been displaced to a safer place in J&K from 1990 onwards.
The children of IAS, IFS or IPS or military, paramilitary forces who have been transferred to J&K to combat terrorist activities and joined the post before the last date of application submission.
This category includes Maharashtra domiciled candidates belonging to a particular linguistic or
religious minority community as notified by the Government. Such candidates will be eligible for minority quota allocation for the minority colleges.

The State CET Cell Maharashtra will release the MH CET law registration form in June 2021. The application form will be released in online mode at mahacet.org. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria of MH CET law 2021 may register for the state level entrance exam. Filling the application form includes steps such as online registration, providing the details such as educational qualification, communication details, personal information etc.
