ULSAT 2021 - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is conducting round 2 of USLAT 2021 on multiple days starting from July 17 to July 18. The first phase exams were held from June 15 to June 17.

ULSAT for LLM will be conducted on July 30. The last date to apply for ULSAT LLM is July 28.

The test is conducted in an online, computer-based mode. The ULSAT paper will consist of 150 objective type questions, to be asked from subjects such as language comprehension, quantitative ability, legal knowledge and aptitude and logical reasoning. Through ULSAT, the UPES offers a wide range of undergraduate law programmes such as BA LL.B (Hons.), BBA LL.B (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B (Hons.) and B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering LL.B (Hons.) and LLM.

ULSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021

UPES has prescribed the eligibility criteria for candidates who want to appear in ULSAT and take admission in the undergraduate law courses. The eligibility criteria of ULSAT 2021 includes educational qualification, minimum qualifying marks and other aspects.

Educational qualification

Candidates who want to take admission into BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB must have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with at least 50% marks.

Those who want to take admission in B.Tech Energy Technology + LL.B programme need to have passed Class 10th and Class 12th with 50% marks. Physics, Chemistry and Maths must be the subjects of Class 12th.

ULSAT Application Form 2021

The UPES has released the application form of ULSAT 2021. The last date to apply is July 14, 2021. For LLM, the ULSAT application can be submitted by July 28. Candidates may apply for ULSAT by registering at the official website of the university. To register for ULSAT, candidates will have to create an account by filling the registration form. Once the enrollment number and password is generated, candidates may fill the ULSAT application form. Filling the application form of ULSAT 2021 would include steps such as entering personal information, education details, communication details and fee payment. The application fee of ULSAT 2021 is Rs 1850 and it can be submitted online using the payment gateway at the UPES registration portal.

ULSAT 2021 Slot Booking and Admit Card

The university will release the admit card of ULSAT 2021 a few weeks before the test. However, to access the admit card, the candidates will have to book the slot. The ULSAT slot booking includes steps such as choosing the test date and exam centres. The admit card will be generated immediately after the slot booking. The admit card of ULSAT 2021 will be mandatory for appearing in the test. It will also carry the details such as exam centre name, address, exam date and reporting time along with exam day instructions. Candidates will be able to download the admit card by logging into the registered account.

ULSAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus

UPES has prescribed the exam pattern and syllabus for its law entrance examination. The ULSAT exam pattern tells about various aspects of the scheme such as mode, duration, number and type of questions, marking scheme etc. By referring to the exam pattern, candidates will be able to develop an understanding of test structure. ULSAT Result 2021

The UPES will declare the ULSAT result a few days after the test. The result will be declared in the form of a scorecard. Candidates will be able to check the scorecard by logging into the admission portal of UPES. Following the result declaration, the university will prepare the merit list based on which candidates will be called for the counselling process.

UPES admission through CLAT Merit / L-SAT India Merit

For BA LLB (Hons)/ BBA LLB (Hons)/ B. Com, LLB (Hons)

Candidates who have scored at least 50% in higher and senior secondary (10th & 12th) and have secured a CLAT AIR upto 15000 may apply for direct admission to the law programmes. Such candidates need not appear in the ULSAT 2021.

Similarly, the candidates who have appeared in the LSAT-India 2021 and have secured a percentile of 60 percentile or above can also apply for admission.

UPES admission through board merit

Candidates must have passed the CLass 10th and 12th with at least 80% marks to become eligible for direct admission. Note that the candidate must have English as a subject in Class 10th and Class 12th.

For B.Tech LLB (Hons.).

Candidates must pass Class 10th and Class 12th with minimum 70% marks. PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) are the compulsory subjects for Btech LLB.

ULSAT Counselling 2021

After the entrance test, the university will conduct group discussion and personal interview for the shortlisted candidates. The GD-PI session will be a test of communication skills and personality assessment. Candidates who clear the GD-PI round will have to participate in the counselling. During the counselling of ULSAT 2021, candidates will have to submit documents pertaining to educational qualification at the counselling centre. The documents and information provided by the candidates will be verified by counselling authorities, following which the candidates will complete the admission process by submitting the course fee.
