• The 58th batch of IIM Calcutta achieved 100 percentile placement with a total of 190 firms providing 573 offers to the batch of 465 students.

IIM Placement Process

The placement process at IIMs involves three main activities – namely summer, lateral, and final placements.

• Summer Placements: Summer placements are organized during April-May to recruit students for internships in companies. Summer placements help build the platform for receiving pre-placement offers (PPOs). The IIM summer placements happen over four to five days in March. The process is guided by detailed regulations for students and recruiters.
• Lateral Placements: The IIM lateral placements take place a couple of months before the IIM final placements in which 2-year MBA/ PGP students with work experience (18+ months) can participate.
• Final Placements: The IIM final placement process which takes place in December/ January is almost the same across all the IIMs except for a few minor deviations here and there. For example, IIMA follows a cohort-based system instead of a day-based system. A cohort-based system allows recruiters to be evaluated in groups based on domain or expertise over a longer period.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will announce its final placement for the PGP batch. The Institute secured 100% placement with 632 offers. In the placement process of IIM Lucknow, there were 71.3% male and 28.7% female candidates. The highest CTC offered was Rs. 1 cr per month.

The IIM Indore placement 2024 report is expected to achieve 100% placements for its PGP and IPM batch. Last year, IIM Indore completed 100% final placements 2023 for IPM and MBA batches with 132% rise in the highest salary which has gone up at Rs. 1.14 Cr per annum, while average salary of IIM graduate was 21% rise, has gone up at Rs.30.21 LPA. 568 students of 2 Years PGP and 5 years IPM got offers from 160 marquee recruiters from diverse sectors, offering diverse roles. IIM Visakhapatnam Placements 2023 has been concluded with 100% placements. Last year, IIM Visakhapatnam average package increased by 10.29% at Rs 16.61 LPA whereas IIM Visakhapatnam highest package stood at Rs 32.65 LPA. 17% of the total number of students (193 students) received dual offers.

The highest number of offers came from the IT & Consulting sector (33%) followed by the BFSI sector (26%).
