What’s Next After Cutoff Declaration? NMAT Selection Procedure 2021

Each institute that accepts the NMAT scores will release the cutoff separately, as per the selection procedure of NMAT 2021. Majorly there will be two steps in the NMAT selection procedure 2021. The first would be to appear for the computer-based exam. Post which selected candidates will be called for group discussion, personal interview, writing ability test, and case discussion rounds.

If you are planning to take admission and have to qualify for these rounds, then you must know the things that you should not do in GD-PI rounds to improve your chances of selection. NMAT 2021 selection procedure will comprise of the following parameters.

  • Group Discussion (GD) and Case Discussion (CD) - For the GD round, candidates will be divided into different groups of 7 to 10 members in each group. Each group has its own topic for discussion. So, participating institutes conduct Case Discussion (CD) instead of GD. In Case Discussion, a structured discussion of any situation will be given. Candidates will have to make a few quick entries within the stipulated time.
  • Personal Interview (PI) - After the conclusion of the Group Discussion (GD) round, the participating institutes will conduct a Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • Written Ability Test (WAT) - Some of the participating institutes will also conduct Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds along with GD and PI. The main purpose to conduct a WAT round is to check candidates writing and communication ability.
