NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2021

Before doing the NMAT 2021 exam registration, the candidates checked the eligibility criteria, and only after ensuring that they are eligible to register for NMAT 2021, only then they should fill the NMAT 2021 registration form. The eligibility criteria of NMAT 2021 states that the candidates should be holding a bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percent marks.

There is no age limit to appear for NMAT by GMAC exam. Candidates who are in their final year are also eligible to apply for the NMAT exam 2021. How to Register for NMAT 2021?

1. Create an account on NMAT official website i.e. register.nmat.org using a valid email address.

2. Provide contact information, personal, educational, and work experience, the list of programmes to send scores, and the ID that will be used for identification on the day of the exam. Indicate interest in participating in a search service and agree to the terms and conditions.

3. Name and date of birth that is entered on the NMAT registration form must exactly match the name and date of birth on the Photo and Signature ID.

4. Choose the schools to send the scores under the "Schools Preference" section. Up to 5 programmes will be included in the NMAT exam 2021 registration fee. An additional fee of INR 200 + applicable taxes will be applied for each programme added in excess of 5 programmes.

5. Candidates must upload a photograph that is similar and the photograph on your Photo ID. This photograph will be included on the admit card that you must show to the test centre administrator at the test centre or to the online proctor.

6. Select the NMAT 2021 exam mode, if wanting to take the NMAT exam at the test Centre or Online Proctored at Home.

(Note: Once the NMAT exam is booked, one cannot reschedule to a different mode for the same attempt. However, one can choose the exam mode again, while scheduling the next attempt.)

For example: if a candidate has scheduled their first attempt at the NMAT 2021 test centre then he or she can’t reschedule that exam to an online proctored exam at home or vice-versa. However, the candidate can again choose their exam mode to test at an NMAT test centre 2021 or online proctored at home when they schedule their retake 1 or retake 2.

7. Pay requisite the NMAT exam fee via:

  • Visa

  • MasterCard

  • American Express

  • Debit card

  • Internet banking

  • Diners Club

8. Once the payment is realized, the scheduled NMAT 2021 option will be activated in the dashboard, so that the candidates can schedule their NMAT exam. Candidates can book any slot after 24 hours from the time of booking.

Schedule at NMAT Test Center 2021

  • Click on the ‘book exam’ tab to reach the scheduling system.

  • Choose the country and city and NMAT test centre and choose the date and time to take the exam.

Schedule Online Proctored Test at Home

  • Click on the ‘book exam’ tab to reach the scheduling system.

  • The first step will be to fill out the ‘My Profile’ section before moving onto ‘Scheduling exam appointment’.


Candidates can set up their photo identification by uploading a Government-issued ID. This ID must be uploaded for verification purposes. The following instructions are provided to the user.

  • Take a picture of the photo ID using a smartphone or a camera or webcam on your PC.

  • Save the image of the picture to your PC.

  • Upload the image from the PC to Examity scheduling system


  • Candidates can select from an available list of security questions to set up 3 security questions.

  • System will prompt the candidate to answer 1 of the security questions during the authentication process when logging in to take the exam so please remember or note down the responses.

Exam Appointment

Please select the date and correct time zone to schedule the NMAT exam 2021. Please ensure to choose the correct time zone as the ‘Begin Test’ tab will be enabled at the time chosen by the candidate.


The candidate has to enter the first name, last name, first name, and last name and re-enters first name and last name.

  • No spaces or capital letters should be used while entering this information. The system will save the keystroke entry of the data that is entered, and this will be used as part of the authentication process when the candidate logs in to take the exam.

  • If the candidate fails to successfully enter ExamiKEY information 3 times, a red flag will be raised.

9. Candidates will be able to download their NMAT admit card from the dashboard once the payment is done.

How to Apply for NMAT 2021 Reschedule?

  1. Log in to NMAT account using the login credentials
  2. Click on the “Schedule Exam” button
  3. Select the date and time of the test
  4. Select the preferable location
  5. Complete the process by paying the rescheduling fee using Credit Card only
  6. Click on the ‘process’ button

NMAT 2021 Registration: NMAT Retake Registration

The candidates will be allowed to take the NMAT by GMAC exam a maximum of three times during the year’s testing period. This will include the first attempt plus a maximum of two retake attempts. No shows are considered attempts.

The NMAT retake registration 2021 option will be enabled in the candidate’s dashboard after their exam date. The candidate needs to register for the retake by simply clicking on the retake section, selecting the NMAT exam mode, and paying the retake fees.

Note: Retake can be scheduled after the completion of a scheduled attempt and the retake NMAT exam 2021 can only be taken after a gap of 15 days from the previous attempt.

Retake scheduling at the test center of NMAT and online follow the same process as NMAT scheduling.

How to Apply for NMAT 2021 Retake Registration?

Candidates can apply for two retake attempts after the first attempt. Check the below for retake NMAT registration 2021-

NMAT Application Form 2021: What After Filling the Form?

After the candidates have finished filling the NMAT form 2021, they have to download the NMAT admit card which is available on the NMAT official website only. To download the same, the candidates have to log in by using their credentials. Check for the details that will be mentioned in the NMAT exam admit card. NMAT 2021 slot booking will be done along with the registration process. Candidates are advised to take a print out of admit card and keep it safe for future reference.
