About: Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology (GJIMT), Mohali was established in the year 1998. Gyan Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology Mohali is affiliated with the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in multiple disciplines. GJIMT Mohali courses include BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), MBA, MCA and PhD. Admissions at GJIMT Mohali are merit as well as entrance-based.

Q. Tell us something about GJIMT Mohali; when it was set up, its vision and mission.

A: Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology was established in the year 1998 with an aim to provide quality education at affordable fees. Since its inception, it has been dedicated to nurturing minds and shaping futures with a commitment to excellence at its core.

Q. Tell us something about the GJIMT Mohali admission process.

A. GJIMT admissions to UG and PG courses are merit-based. The college also accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT and NIMCET for its MBA and MCA courses respectively. Several factors are considered before selecting a student, including overall profile, academic background, entrance scores, and achievements. GJIMT has a dedicated admissions cell to guide prospective students through the admissions process seamlessly.

Q. What kind of infrastructure can students expect at GJIMT Mohali? Please elaborate.

A. At GJIMT, the infrastructure is tailored to foster an environment conducive to learning and growth. GJIMT Mohali facilities include well-equipped classrooms, extensive libraries, specialised laboratories, and sports facilities. Q. Internships are now mandatory as per AICTE guidelines. Does GJIMT Mohali help students with this? If yes how?

A. Our proactive placement cell provides personalised guidance and facilitates connections with a diverse network of industry partners, ensuring our students access a wide array of internship opportunities aligned with their career aspirations. Additionally, GJIMT hosts internship fairs and conducts preparation workshops to equip students with the necessary skills and resources for successful internship applications. Throughout the internship process, GJIMT Mohali placement cell offers ongoing support, including assistance with paperwork, and regularly monitors students' progress. Additionally, GJIMT has launched an innovative Summer Work and Travel (SWT) programme aimed at providing its students with invaluable paid internship opportunities in the United States.

Q. Can you please share details if there is any collaboration with universities abroad?

A. GJIMT provides its students with exceptional opportunities for global academic experiences and career advancement. Through our unique 2+2 pathway programme, our students pursue two years of study at GJIMT followed by two years at partner universities abroad.

Additionally, articulation agreements with renowned BSchools in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand enable our students to pursue advanced degrees or exchange programmes abroad. Dr. Aneet Bedi Director, Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions has been ex-President, Chandigarh Management Association (CMA). With more than 20 years of experience in institutional building and research, Dr. Bedi is an acclaimed trainer and has imparted training in areas of Interpersonal Relationship, Leadership and Behavioural Processes to the employees of leading organisations like DRDO, HMT, KMG Infotech, etc. She is presently guiding research scholars for Ph.D. Dr. Bedi is a recipient of Rashtrapati Award by President of India for Bharat Scouts and Guides in 1992.
