CNET Counselling 2024 (Started), Choice Filling, Document Required, Seat Allotment

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee University of Medical Sciences (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh will conduct the online counselling for the state-level CNET 2024 exam. The CNET 2024 result was declared on June 22. The registration window for CNET counselling was available from June 22 to June 27. Students who will be allotted seats in CNET counselling 2024, will have to report to the allotted college with all the necessary documents within the period set by ABVMU.

The CNET counselling 2024 will be conducted in three rounds - 1st round, 2nd round and a mop-up round. If the seats remain vacant after the mop-up round, a stray round will be conducted. Candidates who have qualified for the CNET exam 2024 are eligible to sit for the counselling rounds. The students will be given the colleges as per their preference based on the merit list. Candidates will have to meet the eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority and must fulfil the minimum qualification set by the Indian Nursing Council.

Through CNET 2024, seats will be offered at all government and private nursing colleges affiliated to ABVMU Lucknow, SGPGIMS Lucknow, KGMU Lucknow, RMLIMS Lucknow, UPUMS Saifai and LLRM, Meerut. Reservation will be given as per the state government reservation policy for a specific number of seats set by the Indian Nursing Council. A 5% horizontal reservation will be given to the PwD candidates.

The conducting authority will announce the CNET 2024 counselling and admission schedule for admissions to the 11610 B.Sc nursing seats in the various government and private nursing colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

• The minimum and maximum age of the aspirant should be 17 and 35 years respectively as on 31st December, 2024.

• The student must have passed the 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the core subjects with an aggregate of a minimum of 45% marks. (5% relaxation will be granted to the reserved category students)

• English should be a mandatory subject at the 10 + 2 standard for admission to the B.Sc nursing program.

• The selection of candidates will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the University.

• Minimum Qualifying marks for CNET 2024 exam are 50 percentile for unreserved (UR)/EWS category, 45 percentile for PwD (General and EWS) and 40 percentile for SC/ST and OBC Category.

Steps to check CNET Counselling 2024 process

ABVMU B.Sc nursing counselling is conducted in three rounds - 1st round, 2nd round and a mop-up round. If any seats remain vacant after the mop-up round, only then a stray round is conducted. The counselling is done in online mode only.

Here is a step-by-step guide for CNET counselling 2024 -

Step 1- Registration process

1. Register for the counselling of CNET 2024 by entering the registration ID (same as the application form) and password on the official website abvmuup.edu.in

2. Upon logging in, all the personal details such as - candidate's name, father’s name, mother’s name, DOB, category and address will be automatically pre-filled as submitted during the CNET 2024 registration.

3. Upload the marksheets of 10th and 12th standard and update the domicile status of Uttar Pradesh state, minority status and upload the certificates for domicile status (if applicable), minority status (if applicable), category certificate (if applicable)

4. Deposit the fee of 500/- as the counselling registration fee online and INR 5000/- as the counselling security fee. Both fees will be deposited online through a single payment of Rs.5,500.

Step 2- Choice filling, seat allotment and admission process

1. Select as many colleges as possible listed on the counselling process of CNET 2024 as per your preference within the time and date specified in the schedule.

2. Take a printout of the choices made in the counselling portal of CNET 2024 for future reference.

Note: All the candidates who will be allocated seats in the round 1 will be required to login to the portal and choose any one of the following options within date and time specified in the schedule -

Option 1- Accept allotted seat and do not wish to participate in round 2 of counselling (freeze)

Option 2- Accept allotted seat and wants to upgrade and participate in round 2 of counselling (float)

Option 3- Decline allotted seat and wants to participate in round 2 of counselling (decline).

1. All the candidates who are allocated seats and exercised options 1 and 2 are mandatorily required to deposit a seat confirmation fee of Rs.40,000 to ABVMU UP through online/challan transfer mode. This amount will be transferred to the allotted college and adjusted against the tuition fee after completion of the all rounds counselling process.

2. After depositing the seat confirmation fee, report in person to the allocated college for the admission process within the date and time specified in the schedule. The candidates are required to carry the original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies of documents.

3. On reporting to the allotted college, pay the admission fee of Rs.2,000 in the college, which will be adjusted against the total fee. at the time of reporting to the allotted college.

4. The college will verify all the documents and update the same through the college portal. If all eligibility criteria are fulfilled and verified, a duly signed provisional admission letter will be provided to the candidate by the college.

A list of self-attested one-set photocopies of documents that are required to be deposited during the counselling of CNET Exam 2024 are as follows -

• Provisional seat allotment letter

• 5 passport-size colour photographs with white backgrounds.

• Fee deposit receipt of Rs.40,000/-

• Photo ID proof (Aadhar card/Voter ID card/Driving licence etc.)

• Verification form uploaded at the time of filling the application.

• Passing certificate/Mark sheet/Statement of marks of 12th class or its equivalent examination from a recognized board.

• Certificate from the board showing the date of birth. (class 10th passing certificate)

• 12th class (10+2) migration/transfer certificate.

• Medical fitness certificate
