Latest update on courses through NEET 2021 UG Score

As per the NEET courses latest update, NEET 2021 scores may be used for BSc nursing admissions. An official NTA notice states, “The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central/State Governments (including Indian Nursing Council/ Nursing Colleges/ Schools, JIPMER) for counselling/ admission to relevant courses [including BSc Nursing and BSc Life Sciences] in accordance with their rules/ norms/ guidelines.” However NTA will provide more clarifications with the release of brochure and NEET application form.

The authorities grant admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BYNS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, BVSc & AH, courses through NEET scores. Eligible students are shortlisted for seats in a respective medical course after class 12 on the basis of NEET results.

NEET 2021 scope of admission

  • Number of seats: Admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 veterinary sciences seats is granted on the basis of NEET exam.

  • AIIMS & JIPMER seats: Admission to 1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER seats will be through NEET scores.
