As per the latest update, the DNB PDCET 2021 exam will be held on September 19, 2021. The admit card must be carried to the DNB PDCET 2021 exam centre with ID proof. NBE will conduct Diplomate of National Board Post-Diploma Centralised Entrance Test - DNB PDCET in a computer-based mode. A total of 120 objective questions based on the syllabus of the Diploma specialty will be asked in DNB PDCET exam. As per the DNB PDCET exam pattern 2021, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. DNB PDCET 2021 result will be announced in PDF format. The result of DNB PDCET will mention roll number, scores obtained (out of 1000), qualifying status.

April 23, 2021: NBE has released a notice for conduct of DNB PDCET 2021 with COVID appropriate behaviour. As per the notice, DNB PDCET will be conducted as per schedule on May 9, 2021.

March 25, 2021: DNB PDCET 2021 application form date has been announced. Candidates can register for DNB PDCET 2021 from March 25, 5:00 PM onwards. The application form of DNB PDCET can be filled only in an online mode.

March 25, 2021: NBE has released the DNB PDCET information bulletin for 2021 session at nbe.edu.in. The brochure of DNB PDCET 2021 has been released with six major changes, discussed below.

  • Hike in application fee: The application fee of DNB PDCET 2021 has been increased to Rs 5,900 with taxes.
  • Changes in exam timings: DNB PDCET 2021 will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Changes in exam pattern: The number of questions in DNB PDCET 2021 exam have been reduced to 120 from 200.
  • Changes in exam centre: Noida has been included in Delhi NCR as a DNB PDCET exam centre 2021. The total number of DNB PDCET 2021 exam cities is 23.
  • Addition to tie-breaking criteria: The tie-breaking criteria of DNB PDCET 2021 has been revised. Now, candidate with less number of wrong answers will be awarded a higher rank.
  • Changes in accepted identity proof: The aadhar card of the candidate will not be accepted as a valid id proof at the DNB PDCET exam centre now. Acceptable id proofs include Voter ID, Passport, Driving License and PAN card.

DNB PDCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the exam conducting authority before applying for DNB PDCET. The eligibility criteria of DNB PDCET 2021 reflects the pre-requisite conditions that a candidate must meet in order to be considered eligible for the entrance exam and for further admission procedure. Aspirants who fail to fulfill the DNB PDCET 2021 eligibility criteria will be considered ineligible for the admission process. Aspirants can go through the below-mentioned main DNB PDCET eligibility criteria.

  • Candidates should have passed the final exam for a postgraduate diploma from a recognized Indian university.

  • Candidates must possess a proof of having passed/ passing the postgraduate diploma final examination on or before February 28, 2021.

  • Candidates must have been registered with the Medical Council of India or respective state medical council.

  • Candidates who have qualified PG Diploma exit examination or and getting their results after February 28, 2021, will not be eligible to apply for DNB PDCET 2021.

  • Candidates already pursuing an MD/MS/DNB course will NOT be eligible to appear for DNB-PDCET 2021 exam.

DNB PDCET application form 2021

Only aspirants who fulfill the eligibility criteria can fill the DNB PDCET application form. The completion of the application process for DNB PDCET 2021 comprises of six different steps like registration, filling of application, uploading of scanned documents/images, selection of test city, payment of application form, and printing of duly filled application form. In order to successfully submit the DNB PDCET 2021 exam, aspirants are required to pay the prescribed application fee of Rs 5,900/-. DNB PDCET Exam Centre 2021

While filling the application form for the DNB PDCET 2021 exam, aspirants are required to choose a test city where he/she wants to take the test. In order to appear for the DNB PDCET exam, candidates can chose only those test cities where seats are available. The allocation of the seat in a test city is done on a first come first serve basis. DNB PDCET 2021 - Demo Test

In order to familiarize the candidates with the computer-based test format, NBE uses to provide a demo test of the DNB PDCET 2021 exam. Registered candidates will be able to access the DNB PDCET demo test from the official website www.nbe.edu.in after its availability. With the help of the demo test, candidates were able to formulate a strategy to crack the DNB PDCET entrance test 2021. By using the facilities of the demo test, aspirants will be acquainted with the DNB PDCET 2021 exam pattern of the entrance test.

DNB PDCET Result 2021

The competent authority will declare the DNB PDCET 2021 result in online mode. The result of DNB PDCET will be released in the form of separate merit lists for each broad specialty which are mentioned below on this page. The scores obtained in the DNB PDCET result 2021 will only be valid for the same academic year only. All candidates are ranked in order of the marks secured by them amongst other candidates of the same Broad specialty which will be published as the DNB PDCET merit list 2021. For e.g. the merit list for DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology secondary seats will have only Post DGO candidates as competitors. In case two or more candidates have obtained identical scores, tie-breaking criteria will be applied to determine the inter-se merit in descending order. The tie-breaking criteria have been listed below.

  • A candidate who has a number of correct responses shall be placed at a higher position.

  • If the above criteria do not resolve the tie, the candidate who is older will be placed at a better merit position.

DNB PDCET Counselling 2021

Aspirants who qualified for the entrance test and included in the results will be eligible to participate in the DNB PDCET 2021 counselling. Eligible candidates will be able to select and arrange their preference of college only after paying the prescribed DNB PDCET counselling fee of Rs 2500/-. A total of four rounds of DNB PDCET counselling 2021 will be organized by NBE out of which only the last round will be conducted in offline mode. Only candidates who have failed to secure a seat in the first, second, or third round of counselling will be eligible to participate in the fourth round of DNB PDCET 2021 counselling. The following criteria have been specified by NBE authorities and will apply in the DNB PDCET counselling.

  • There is no limit on the number of preferences that a candidate can give for a given round of DND PDCET counselling. However, it is advisable not to fill the choices in which candidates are not interested to join, if they do so and allotted with such seat and not pays the course fee or not joins the allotted seat, they will not be eligible for further rounds of DNB PDCET counselling 2021 including final round (in person) counselling.

  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be required to upload the relevant certificate to substantiate their claim or else they will be considered under the unreserved category.

  • The special category candidates will be able to opt for the special category at the time of filling the registration form of DNB PDCET 2021 counselling. Relevant documents to support the claim must be uploaded. These documents will be scrutinized by NBE.

  • The choices/preferences have to be locked within the stipulated time period for DNB PDCET admission, if not done so, the preferences entered will be locked automatically on the last date of registration.

  • The seat allocation will be done in accordance with the order of merit and the web options given by the candidate during the process of DNB PDCET admission 2021.

  • Those candidates who have been allotted a seat in a particular round will be required to accept the seat by paying a one-year course fee of Rs 8,000/- in online mode. Non-payment of the fee will be considered as the explicit refusal of the seat.

  • Only those candidates who have paid the one-year course fee will be eligible for up-gradation of the seat in further rounds.

  • Candidates are required to select the certificate and biometric verification centre at the time of online payment of a one-year course fee.
