The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) is the responsible authority for conducting the J&K MBBS 2024 admission. J&K MBBS admission 2024: Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates applying for J&K MBBS 2024 admission must be citizens of India.

  • Candidates must be of 17 years of age at the time of admission however there is no maximum age limit for admission to J&K MBBS.

  • Medical aspirants applying for J&K MBBS admission 2024 under the State Quota seats must be the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh.

  • Candidates must have qualified Class 12 from a recognized institution of the state while securing an aggregate of 50% for unreserved and 40% for reserved categories.

  • Medical aspirants belonging to the open merit category are required to obtain 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the qualifying examination and 40% in aggregate for reserved categories. PwD aspirants, under the open merit category, must score 45% in the aforementioned subjects following disability prescribed in MCI regulations.

  • Candidates must clear the NEET UG exam by scoring the minimum cutoff as set by the authority to get admission to J&K MBBS 2024.

The number of seats in the NEET for medical and dental colleges in Jammu and Kashmir can vary from year to year based on factors such as government policies, available infrastructure, and admission criteria. BOPEE is the responsible authority to conduct J&K NEET counselling for admission to various medical and dental colleges in the state. The J&K MBBS counselling 2024 will be conducted in online mode after the release of the state merit list whereas the mop-up round counselling will be conducted in offline mode.
