Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2021 - Schedule, Registration, Process, Seats

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2021 - Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra is the conducting authority for Maharashtra PG medical 2021 counselling. The authority will conduct Maharashtra PG medical counselling for all eligible aspirants. Applicants have to register themselves on or before the last date for Maharashtra PG medical 2021 counselling after which they have to go through the process of document verification. On the basis of the verification process, the authority will release the merit list for Maharashtra PG medical counselling. On the basis of filling of choices and the availability of seats, the final merit list for seat allotment of the Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2021 will be released and admission will be granted. Students have to report at designated colleges within the specified dates and timings. For admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma seat students have to qualify for the national level entrance test, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG).

Maharashtra PG medical counselling will be conducted for two rounds along with a mop-up round. Applicants who are included in Maharashtra PG medical merit list 2021 are only eligible to take part in the process of counselling. Maharashtra PG medical 2021 counselling is conducted for 50% State Quota seat admission which is offered by the medical and dental colleges of Maharashtra. Students are offered around 456 MD, 138 MS, and about 134 PG Diploma seats for admission through Maharashtra PG medical counselling. Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling process 2021 - Round-wise

The counselling round for Maharashtra PG medical admission 2021 will be conducted only in online mode. The Maharashtra PG Medical 2021 counselling will be of three rounds which will be conducted by DMER, Maharashtra. The steps to take part in Maharashtra PG medical counselling are mentioned below.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2021: Round One

  • Applicants have to register themselves to participate in Maharashtra PG medical 2021 counselling.

  • Click on the direct link that will be provided on this page for registration to Maharashtra PG medical counselling.

  • In order to get registered, applicants have to fill in the requisite details such as their name, roll no., marks obtained in NEET PG 2021.

  • After the completion of the registration process students are required to fill their choices as per their preferences of colleges.

  • Students can make as many choices as they want for Maharashtra MD/MS PG diploma admissions.

  • On the basis of Maharashtra PG merit list 2021, choices filled and the availability of seats the process of allotment will be done.

  • Applicants who will be granted admission are required to report at the allotted colleges within the specified dates with the required documents which are mentioned below.

  • Aspirants are advised to download admission letters for Maharashtra PG medical 2021 counselling before reporting to the allotted colleges.

  • Applicants who are not shortlisted for the first round can take part in further round of Maharashtra PG medical counselling.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2021: Important Documents

Applicants are required to carry out the following documents at the time of verification.

  • Print out of the Maharashtra PG 2021 application form.

  • NEET PG admit card

  • Photo ID proof

  • NEET PG result 2021

  • Secondary school certificate

  • MBBS marks sheet of first, second and third year.

  • The pass certificate of MBBS degree.

  • Certificate of compulsory rotatory internship completion.

  • The certificate of registration from Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council (SMC).

  • Undertaking of the number of attempts of NEET PG.

  • Challan copy of Rs. 3000

  • If applicable, Caste certificate & PH certificate.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling - Waiting List

For Maharashtra NEET PG admission 2021, the students who will not be interested in taking admission to the colleges which are allotted to them. They will be required to write an application to the concerned authorities. Then, those aspirants are included in the waiting list of Maharashtra PG medical 2021 counselling and will be considered later for admission to the seats which are left vacant after the completion of all rounds of counselling.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2021 - Second Round

If the seats remain vacant in Maharashtra PG counselling 2021, the students who are not shortlisted in the first round can participate in the counselling for the second round. For Maharashtra PG 2021 admission there are certains pre-conditions which are required to be fulfilled by aspirants, which are:

  • Seats were allotted to them in round one but they chose to get their courses and colleges upgraded.

  • They must have selected the waiting list option.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling - Mop-up round

In case of any seat vacancies for Maharashtra PG medical counselling, aspirants who miss out any seats in the second round will be called for a mop-up. Only those students will be considered who belongs to Maharashtra and missed out on any seat in both rounds of Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2021.
