NEET 2021 Latest News and Updates - The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce NEET exam date 2021 at any time soon. NEET registration is also awaited to commence shortly. The official brochure for the exam will be released along with the NEET 2021 application form. After the registration process, the authorities will release the admit card of NEET 2021 15 days prior to the exam date. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has been seen doing a lot of major changes in the field of medicine the previous session, one of the biggest change was scrapping of AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS and the conduction of a single medical UG entrance test, i.e., NEET. This was done under the effect of the National Medical Commission Bill (NMC) introduced.

February 8, 2021: NEET exam 2021 will be held twice a year, confirms a Health Ministry official. As per reports, medical entrance test - NEET UG will now be conducted two times a year. Admission will be granted based on the best of two scores.

"While we felt that a large number of NEET aspirants still may not be ready for appearing in the examination in online mode, there is now a consensus on conducting the test twice this year." said sources.

February 8, 2021: The Supreme Court has lowered the NEET 2020 cutoff for BDS admission by 10 percentile. NEET BDS cutoff for UR is now 40 percentile, For SC/ST/OBC it is 30 percentile, and for general-PwD, it is 35 percentile. On the grounds of the revised NEET cutoff 2020, admission to 7000 vacant BDS seats will now be granted.
