NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 - Overall

  • Educational Qualification - Candidates are required to possess MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognised by the Indian Medical Council Act 1956

  • Certificate of Registration - Candidates must have MBBS qualification registration (permanent/provisional). This registration is supposed to be issued by MCI or State Medical Council (SMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI)

  • Internship - As per the eligibility criteria of NEET PG candidate must complete their one year internship on or before March 31, 2021

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 - AIQ 50% seats

The criteria which candidates are required to fulfil for 50% AIQ seats is mentioned below:

  1. In accordance with NEET PG 2021 eligibility criteria, medical graduates belonging from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for AIQ 50% seats.

  2. Only those candidates from J&K who have been nominated by the Government of India, under central pool seats, for pursuing MBBS from medical colleges in Jammu & Kashmir will be eligible for AIQ 50% seats. These candidates have to submit a duly signed affidavit which declares that they have been nominated by the Government of India under the above-mentioned category. NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 - Foreign Medical Graduates

NBE has declared the below-mentioned NEET PG 2021 eligibility criteria for those Indian citizens or Overseas citizens who have pursued their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical colleges that are outside India territory.

  • The Foreign Medical Graduates must qualify for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) (Screening Test).

  • Foreign Nationals must get themselves registered with MCI/SMC

  • According to eligibility criteria of NEET PG, candidates must complete their internship complying to the guidelines set for all in common

  • On the day of conduction of NEET PG 2021, FMG candidates are required to bring along their FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBE

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2021 - Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals have to fulfil the below-mentioned NEET PG 2021 eligibility criteria if they wish to appear for the entrance examination

  • Since the year 2019, it is no more mandatory for Foreign Nationals to be registered with MCI while writing NEET PG 2021

  • The MCI is authorised to provide temporary registration to candidates. This is in cases where they pay the registration fee. Candidates must note that as per the eligibility criteria of NEET PG, the validity of this registration will be provided only for the PostGraduate course duration. Also, this registration will be limited to the medical college/institution in which the candidate has taken admission exclusively for the pursuance of postgraduate studies

  • Foreign Nationals have to be mandatorily registered with the competent registering authority of their country in order to get temporary registration

Highlights of NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2021

In order to avoid cancellation of candidature, medical graduates are required to know some other criteria also apart from eligibility. These are as follows:

  • Those medical graduates who are found to be ineligible at any stage of the entrance exam or NEET PG counselling 2021 will get their candidature cancelled then and there. If the candidate’s ineligibility comes to the notice of the authorities after the selection of candidates the result of such candidate shall be cancelled

  • The one year internship must be completed in the stipulated time as request for extension in time period will not be entertained by the authorities under any circumstances

  • Medical graduates are not allowed to submit NEET PG application form 2021 multiple times for the given year
