NEET Seat Allotment 2021 - The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the NEET 2021 result on November 1 at neet.nta.nic.in. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will shortly conduct the seat allotment of the NEET 2021 process for all eligible aspirants. NEET UG 2021 allotment process will begin after filling out choices of colleges. The seat allotment list of NEET 2021 will be updated here after availability.

NEET 2021 seat allotment will be organized separately for three rounds including mop-up. It should also be noted that the allotment of seats will be done only on the basis of scores obtained in the NEET exam, choices filled, seats available, and other factors. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify for the NEET 2021 exam to appear for the allotment process.

NEET seat allotment will be conducted for admission to 15% All India Quota seats (AIQ) seats, 100% seats in Deemed/Central Universities, ESIC, and AFMC institutes. Out of total seats in government colleges, 15% of seats will be reserved for AIQ seats, while the remaining will be reserved for 85% of state quota seats offered by state counselling authorities.

In order to participate in the NEET 2021 seat allotment process, aspirants need to register themselves by entering asked personal, academic, contact, and other communication details. Once the registration is done, they need to login to provide their preferences of colleges as well as courses, in which they wish to get admission. Candidates who will be granted admission after NEET allotment will be required to report at the respective colleges for completion of the admission process and document verification. Through NEET counselling 2021, students will be granted admission to 20,089 seats in 329 medical and 80 dental colleges. NEET seat allotment 2021 - Role of MCC

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the seat allotment process of NEET 2021 for the below-mentioned quota seats.

  • 15% AIQ (As many as 5527 MBBS & 405 BDS seats)
  • 100% Deemed Universities (8074 MBBS & 3100 BDS seats)
  • Central Universities (Delhi University, AMU & BHU including Institutional/ Domicile Quota)
  • 100% ESIC
  • AFMS & 100% seats of GGSIPU -VMMC & SJH AND ABVIMS & RML(15% AIQ + 85% Institutional Quota)
  • 100% AIIMS (As many as 1205 AIIMS MBBS seats)
  • 100% JIPMER (As many as 249 JIPMER MBBS seats)

NEET 2021 seat allotment process

After filling the choices of colleges, the authority will process the seat allotment of NEET 2021. The allotment will be granted on the basis of scores in NEET 2021 result, preferences of choices filled, seats available, reservation criteria, and other details. After the announcement of the NEET seat allotment result, candidates have to provide an option to accept or refuse the allotted seat.   • If the allotted seat is accepted, aspirants need to download the NEET allotment letter 2021 by entering the roll number, date of birth and security pin.

  • Along with the allotment letter, students must report at the designated centres with documents and certificates for verification and completion of admission process.

  • The admission process after NEET seat allotment 2021 will be done for two or three days only. Therefore, candidates are advised to report to the institute immediately after the release of the NEET allotment list.

  • Candidates will also undergo a medical examination that mentions that they are medically fit.

  • After the admission is granted, the allotted college will send the details of the candidate to DGHS, and based on these details, the admission letter will be granted.

  • In case if the allotted seat is not accepted after the first round of NEET 2021 seat allotment and he/she does not want to participate in the counselling, then free exit will be considered. This means that no refundable fees will be deducted. While, after the second round of counselling non-acceptance of seat will lead to the deduction of refundable fees.

  • If the candidate is not allotted a seat and wishes to participate for subsequent rounds of NEET seat allotment, they need to opt for the choices. Such students will also be required to provide their fresh choices of colleges for other rounds of NEET 2021 seat allotment. However, after the second round of counselling, this option will not be available.

NEET seat allotment 2021 - Reservation criteria

Aspirants can go through the NEET 2021 reservations criteria, which will be taken into consideration while processing the NEET seat allotments for eligible aspirants. As per the reservation criteria of NEET 2021 15% AIQ seats will be reserved under this quota, as per the centralized reservation policy. However, the reservation criteria for 85% of state quota seats will be done as per the state regulations. The seat reservation given here is applicable only for 15% of All India Quota MBBS/BDS seats.
