NEET 2024 State-wise Rank List - How it will be prepared?

As per the standardized practice, NEET 2024 qualified candidates must go through the eligibility criteria and fill out the application forms. Based on the details filled in during registration, the authority will prepare and release the state rank list of NEET 2024 on the basis of marks obtained in pen and paper-based exams.

Moreover, many states release the provisional NEET merit list mentioning candidates' details. Such aspirants will be required to report at the venue for verification of documents as well as certificates. After the verification process is closed, the state conducting authority will release the final NEET state-wise merit list 2024, which will be used for counselling.

• It must be noted that the state rank list is released after the announcement of NEET result 2024.

• Before the commencement of the state-level allotment process, states like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will release the list of candidates passing Class 12 from the particular state. The list will be released on the basis of information provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

• All interested students must fill out the application form on or before the last date. Based on that, the provisional NEET state-wise merit list 2024 will be prepared.

• Such aspirants included in the merit list can report for document verification sessions, generally conducted in offline mode, along with the relevant documents/certificates.

• First preference will be given to the candidate who scores higher marks in Biology (Botany + Zoology) in the entrance examination and will be allotted a higher rank on NEET 2024 state merit list

• If the tie remains then-candidate securing higher marks in Chemistry will be preferred

• The next step will be to give preference to the candidate who gives the fewer incorrect responses

• The last method will be to select the candidate who is older in age among the ones who have a tie
