Amity International School, Vasundhra 6, Wins Gold At Figure Skating Development Camp

Amity International School, Vasundhra 6, skating coach, Mohd Haseen represented Team India at Figure Skating Development Camp in Manila, Philippines from August 18 to August 29. The event was organised by the Ice Skating Association of India (ISAI) in collaboration with the International Skating Union (ISU) and the Philippine Skating Union (PHSU). Team India won two medals—a silver and a bronze—under the leadership of Mohd Haseen.
Amity International School, Vasundhra Sec-6 was founded by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan. It is the seventh school in the chain of Amity Group of Schools run by a non-profit organization, RBEF under the chairpersonship of Dr. Amita Chauhan. Amity International School is spread across 3-acres, and accommodates close to 2000 students.

The Figure Skating Development Camp was led by Artyem Kynazev, ISU Technical Specialist, and engaged young athletes in a combination of on-ice and off-ice training. The figure skating camp 2022 also included a lecture by Malaysian International Skating Judge, Surayu Ismail, and lessons on sports nutrition by Dr. Kim Montaniel for the young figure skaters.
In a special routine, the young figure skaters from India and the Philippines demonstrated what they had learned at the camp. The competitors executed a series of elegant jumps, spins, and footwork while wearing their ice skating boots and costumes.
