Energy Definition Physics or Energy Definition Science: It is the ability to do work that is called energy. The rate of doing work is called power. It can also be defined as the rate of change of energy. An object can have value for the power without doing any work.

What is electrical energy?

Electrical energy comes from the potential energy or kinetic energy of charged particles. We can define electrical energy as the energy produced by the movement of electrons from one point to another. The movement of charged particles creates current or electricity.

Electric power can be converted into other forms of energy such as heat energy, light energy, movement etc. The most popular example is:
