NTSE Maharashtra Scholarships 2021

Under the NTSE programme, 2000 scholarships are distributed each year by the national conducting body, NCERT. Students selected through NTSE Maharashtra 22020 will sit for NTSE stage 2 and compete for the NTSE scholarships.

NTSE Maharashtra Eligibility Criteria

  • Students studying in class 10 from Maharashtra are eligible to apply for Maharashtra NTSE 2020.
  • They must be appearing for class 10 board exams for the first time.
  • Students must have passed the class 9th exams with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)
  • Open school students can also apply for NTSE Maharashtra stage 1. But, their age should be less than 18 years and they should not be employed.
  • Students can only receive only one scholarship amount at a time.

NTSE Maharashtra 2020-21 Syllabus Exam Pattern

  • There are two sections in the NTSE Exam namely Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) of 100 marks each.

  • As per NTSE exam pattern, each section needs to be answered within a duration of 120 minutes and to qualify, a student needs to secure 40% (32% for SC/ST/PH) in both the papers separately.

  • There is no negative marking in NTSE Maharashtra 2020-21, and each question is worth 1 mark.

  • The duration of each paper is 120 minutes
