NTSE Tamil Nadu 2021-22 - Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has released the application form for Tamil Nadu NTSE 2022. NCERT prescribes the NTSE eligibility criteria 2021-22 which are followed by all States/Uts. However, States are free to impose eligibility conditions related to required marks in the last qualifying exam. Students wishing to appear for NTSE Tamil Nadu 2021 must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
Must have passed class 9 exams and scored 60% marks.
Must be enrolled in class 10 during the academic year 2021-22 in a recognized school in the state.

DGE conducts the process for NTSE registration 2021-22 in offline mode. Students need to apply through their respective schools. Steps to be followed to fill NTSE Tamil Nadu 2021-22 application form are given below:
First of all, collect an application form from the school authority.
Fill all the details carefully in appropriate fields.
Now, attach all the required documents and photographs along with forms.
Submit the form to schools along with the requisite application fee i.e Rs 50/- before the last date.
Then, schools will attest the application forms and send them to the Joint Director (Personnel) of Government Examinations
Documents required: Student photograph, a copy of caste/category certificate for SC/ST/OBC/PwD students.

DGE will release the admit cards for stage 1 NTSE Tamil Nadu 2021-22 in December 2021. NTSE admit card 2022 will be made available in offline mode through schools. Students can collect the same from their schools. It is essential to carry admit card to the exam hall else students are not allowed to enter.
DGE conducts stage 1 exam on the basis of NTSE 2021-22 syllabus. A student must be aware of this syllabus to ace the Tamil Nadu NTSE exam. Questions from the 9th class and 10th class TN syllabus and CBSE syllabus will be asked in the NTSE Tamil Nadu 2021-22. There will be two exams: MAT and SAT. The syllabus of both the sections is given below:
Questions based on verbal and non-verbal reasoning are asked in the MAT section. analogy, analytical reasoning, embedded figure, water images and other topics are covered in this section.
The SAT section comprises questions from Science, Mathematics, Social Science subjects. Students can prepare along with their regular classes.
NCERT prescribed the exam pattern of the stage 1 exam which is followed by States/UTs. The national level exam is also prepared on the basis of the same NTSE exam pattern 2021-22. There will be no negative marking to make students free to tick the answers. The detailed exam pattern is given in the table below:
MAT and SAT sections consist of 100 questions each and both will carry 100 marks each.
SAT section comprises 40, 40 and 20 questions from Science, Social Science and Mathematics, respectively.
The duration of 120 minutes for each section will be provided to solve all the questions.
Analyse syllabus and exam pattern. Prepare a study time table and include time for interest and hobbies.
Choose the best books for NTSE and study all the topics.
Make notes on important topics and highlight them on books to revise the entire syllabus in a short time.
Avoid all distractions and focus on study.
Clear each and every concept instead of memorizing the things. Practise with NTSE question papers 2021-22 to know the types of Note questions asked in the exam.
DGE will release Tamil Nadu NTSE previous year question papers in online mode.
Students will be able to download the question papers and practise to be familiar with the marking scheme, types and number of questions asked in the NTSE Tamil Nadu 2021-22 stage 1 exam.
These NTSE sample papers 2021-22 are prepared strictly based on exam pattern and syllabus.
It will make them enable to analyze their preparation level.
DGE will release the result of stage 1 exam in Tamil Nadu state in February 2022, tentatively. The result will be made available in online mode. Students can check their result by entering their registration number and date of birth in the login window. DGE will also publish a merit list of selected students along with the result. These students go for the next stage of exam and after NTSE stage 2 result 2022, scholarships are distributed to deserving candidates. Last year, the stage 1 result was released on May 21, 2021.
OBC (Non-creamy Layer)
After exams, students curiously wait for the result and cutoff marks. DGE will announce the cutoff marks for Tamil Nadu NTSE stage 1 exam along with the results. Students who achieve NTSE cutoff 2022 marks will be able to find their names in the merit list of selected students. NTSE Tamil Nadu 2022 cutoff marks are determined on the basis of various factors so it varies every year. Students can check previous year category-wise cutoff marks in the table given below:
The conducting authority will release the official answer key in online mode.
The NTSE answer key 2021-22 comprises correct answers to all questions asked in MAT and SAT exam.
Students can use the same to know their estimated scores before the result.
They can use previous year cutoff marks to know their chances of selection.
NCERT determined the scholarship rates for all students which are the same for all categories. However, scholarship rates vary on different levels of study as mentioned below:
