Orchids- The International School Introduces Financial Literacy Program

Knowing how to manage one’s money is a life skill that facilitates a sense of autonomy. It is true that disseminating basic financial literacy to children could effectively boost their aspirations and pursuit of goals. Keeping this in mind, Orchids- The International School, recently introduced a Financial Literacy Program (FLP) to familiarise students of Classes 1 to 10 with the basics of financial planning.

The programme has been designed by academicians and industry experts, and students would be taught about handling personal finances, basic banking processes, different kinds of savings, and much more. They would also be given a chance to visit financial institutions and get hands-on experience.

“It is important that the young generation understands the nitty-gritties of the rapidly evolving financial landscape”, remarked Shubham Chauhan, Academic Head, Research and Development, Orchids - The International School. Introducing the FLP as a part of the curriculum is indeed a great endeavour to make the students future-ready.
