Candidates who clear the AIBE cut off become eligible for obtaining a Certificate of Practice. Note that AIBE 2021 is not a competitive exam; it only seeks to test the suitability of law graduates before they enter into the legal profession. So, all candidates who clear the minimum cut off are considered to have passed the All India Bar Examination. No separate merit list or marks are released.

Minimum Marks to Pass AIBE if Some Questions are Incorrect

Now, candidates should also be aware of the fact there may be some incorrect questions in the AIBE paper. The BCI allows the candidates to raise their issues in relation to the AIBE answer key and the test paper. In case, there are some incorrect questions, the BCI will drop such questions while determining the minimum marks required to pass AIBE. So the AIBE cut off is calculated based on the number of correct questions. In any situation, the qualifying percentage remains the same; the maximum marks are adjusted accordingly.

Know More About AIBE Exam 2021

The apex law body in the country, BCI conducts AIBE twice a year. Only law graduates are eligible to apply for AIBE (Check more information at - AIBE eligibility criteria). AIBE is a two-hour duration test during which 100 multiple choice questions are asked from various law subjects (Check: AIBE syllabus for details). It is mandatory for law graduates to pass AIBE in order to practice law in any legally established court in India. The Certificate of Practice (CoP) is issued to the AIBE qualified candidates within a month of result declaration.
